Something else to mention if you ever decide to shoot another one of these: You can set the BaR to take blocks in a certain order of priority or ignore block types altogether. For example: You capture an enemy ship and you want to strip off all the guns, but touch nothing else. The BaR can be set to ONLY touch the weapons. I often set the Armor Blocks to grind last so that the structure of the ship I'm grinding holds together. Then you can reverse this for building a base or whatever so it builds the framework first and THEN builds the rest.

I absolutely LOVE this mod. Personally, I like to have one or two installed on large ships, using a projector, and auto repair stuff as it breaks. 2, so the 2nd one, can also repair the 1st one if IT breaks.... just make sure the BP includes them in it.... ^_^

I like this mod, despite some people saying it is for noobs. A real good reactor mod I found is the ‘Xeno-Tech Black Hole Power Core’. Take a look and see what you think of it!

Really usefulness tutorial, when I do this though to build a projection it only adds the first component then never adds anything more, any ideas why?

Can you demo how to grind down a neutral ship? For example, if I'm trying to decommission my ship by grinding it down, and I change it's ownership to nobody, how do I get the nanobots to grind it down?

That's all grate but what happens if I have started building a large ship already and its larger block and connect to my base how do it tell the build and repair system to start building it

I would try using the welding color assignment if it doesn't pick it up immediately. I am not certain this would work, but it should.

I've been having an issue where the Build and Repair systems start dismantling everything in my base. I had logged out while playing normally, and when I logged back in the factories started tearing everything down! Do you have any idea why this is happening?

I have had a similar issue on one of my series but i am not certain yet what has caused it, I'll look into it and try to release a video on how to fix it.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Settining it into weld only mode might help but I'm not sure.

Could I possibly have you jump in my game & set up the different nanobots I need for different purposes? -I have two places I need it to constantly rebuild torpedos -I need 1 in a vehicle depot to tear down post confrontation junk. -And a couple more for tearing down enemy forces when I deploy these things as a weapon. I'm working on a big ambitious project I intend to showcase on my KZfaq page, & I already have a few mod authors working with me on this project. Its more than likely when you see the sheer scale of this project, you may also want to work on this project too, and that's good because we're trying to expand the team.

Yes it is. You just set the color you want to use in the settings. At that point it will salvage anything painted that color.

Between this mod and Path Auto Mining script the whole game can basically be automated, making it basically creative mode, so yeah I can agree it is a GREAT mod.

What I miss in this tutorial is, why would I ever need this? It’s way easier to just set to creative mode right?

Oh it totally is, but if you are on a server that doesn't allow creative mode this is for you. Plus some people are against creative as well, they feel the need to mine the resources and things.

@@Ricovandijk Unfortunately not, that would be bad if random people could install mods on a server. if you are on a modded server, talk to an admin about adding it

Creative mode creates all the parts for your ship from thin air, whereas the nano repair takes the parts from your cargo boxes... It's a ship welder with a giant area of effect... I use it so I'm not making a thousand trips to the cargo box as I build a new ship.. It removes most of the tedium from building in survival and lets you focus on design more. :) If you have a vanilla server, then much of the challenge is logistics, so it may be unnecessary. But if you have a modded server with aggressive bad guys, you may not need the grindy building challenge as well.

okay, I have a general understanding of the B&R bot, but when I build a projection, it builds up a few blocks, then welds to frame with the rest, and then fucks off. What do?

This sounds like a bug to me, I would check the comments on the steam page for the mod, there may be a workaround posted there.

@@notwes8873 no, haven't touched se in a while, hopefully it's fixed. At the time, I think it may have had something to do with logistics, but the build I was making was easily doable with crash start

For some odd reason my setup will not build what it needs.....??? Anyone have any suggestions? I need too manually que each part it wont build the parts itself..... Says its missing Items but it won't make the items even though I have all the mats....

Have you set your assemblers up in a group? You need to group them accordingly for the script to realize it is allowed to use them for queing. That's about all I can figure out.

My b&r system is set up, yet it won’t actually fix or grind anything. Any idea why this might be? Edit: nevermind I’m an idiot, the block’s inventory was full of ore

I'm having the same thing happen to me. I have it on fly mode and the color's turned off and it just refuses to actually build from the projector. It's extremely frustrating

Turn out you need a block connected to one of your hologram block, that block will be where the nanobot start welding stuff tho i already gave up using this mod, instead i started to make vanilla 3d printer and use that instead.

how do I get it to repair a ship from a blueprint?

You can add a projector onto the ship, and basically align the blueprint to the ship. that way when the ship is damaged you can turn on the projector and repair the blocks that way.

It did not work for me. I have a large grid ship on a projector that is sitting on a large rotor but for some reason it would not get the parts as I have more than enough to build it but it keeps asking the assemblers for the parts and I am running out of ore!!! Why can't the script ignore the ingots and just grab the fricking parts!!!!!!!!!
