First off: nice episode ;) Next a few things: - the cause of your bad sim speed is surely caused partly by the wreckage lying around but unfortunately the nanite factory is also known for causing a lot of lag, especially in multiplayer. Exchanging it with the build and repair system mod, that has basically the same funcionality but at a way lower game impact might be a good idea. - I don't know what version of my solar alignment script is currently running on your base, but the newest version has also support for wind turbines and hydrogen engines. The latter are used for emergency power in my script. They are only activated if the base really needs them because of low battery charge or system overload. Could be worth looking at that. - Third: Have you ever tried my inventory manager? It has many features like sorting your stuff, balancing the refineries, balancing ice in your ships and autocrafting/autodisassembling.. Especially autocrafting could be very useful for your base, as you planned to have a ton of assemblers for each component, this could solve your problems without building 40 assemblers.. Also you could remove your sorters and your sorter docks could be regular docks again, because my script empties ships automatically (can be adjusted with locked or special containers).. Okay, enough advertisment for today :P

Not sure if you know about it, but, the center spots on all four sides of the nanite controllers are not for upgrades, they are conveyer connection spots. You can only put 2 on each side, a total of 8. I use them to connect multiple nanite controllers together. I love the videos and have used a few of your ideas in my own base. Keep up the great work.

Great vid I do like your mining set-ups great idea just Couple of minor comments 1. Stone can be processed in all refineries not just basic suvival kit using that is VERY slow and uses more energy overall 2. The better Nano builder is the Nanite Build and Repair MOD its cheeper to build, can be used on small ships, uses minimal power, has more options, faster and its just better 3. Hydo engines dont use them on bases are bad they will use a whole tank of hydoren in under an hour. It take 2 x O2 generators running to keep 1 Hydro engine going. They work ok on small ships

the wind turbines should also work in ground level hight, so u could stick a bunch more onto the already built towers in case u have need for more power but dont want to cluster a complete area with it ^^ other then that, u have built quite a nice base there good sir, its a pleasure to watch u extend and upgrade it more and more, keep it up ^^

A nanite factory can build projected blueprints, even if you've projected them completely inside the ground. So you can pressurize your crater, if you want, using blocks that are buried and completely invisible. Or run conveyors hundreds of yards underground without digging tunnels for them, etc.

A suggestion to repairing your base, create a blue print of just your base (no ships attached) and pop that on a projector and let the Nanite factory repair any destroyed blocks. I solved the power issue for my nanite facility by using a bunch of hydrogen engines and used the same drill design that you have to get millions of litres of ice to sustain the power generation

The nanite factory is cool, but I really wish that Keen did an official version of this that was less magic and more hard scifi, with small drones.

What if you turn off your suits broadcast? Does it solve the drone targeting problem?

Just started playing this game 3 wks ago. I'm in survival mode with the experimental mode enabled for the inertia thing on the pistons/rotors. I was wondering if the Nanite Factory mod would work where I'm at. I read in a dated forum that it's got lots of issues lately and only works in "Creative" mode. Looks like it's working fine in this video, but is it only for "Creative"? Back to creating more blocks to weld....oiy.

Might want to investigate the efficiency of those wind turbines, I'm pretty sure they "steal" wind from each other, you need a 8 block gap between two turbines so they don't get any interference. Space them out a lot more and you should double or triple the power output.

how did you get those drones to attack you? any mod that spawns drones near you

19:38 you can see the bug that causes issues with Laser Antennas getting blocked by non-physical geometry. This happens with Defense Shields and devs said they fixed it

You need some doors for your grinding pit. It would keep it from scattering bits everywhere.

the build and repair is almost the same but it requires less power and there is also a script so that it auto assembles the components u need to build the block

Kanajashi The lag is being caused by all the little blocks from the welder pit being thrown everywhere, this could be fixed by putting hanger doors above it, and the nanite factory only disassembles grids with a disassemble rod on it.

The natine nachine in comparison to ourselve could get blocks fixed upm which would be unreachable for us, right? There is another Nano Repair mod i think it is called out there which does i guess a similar thing liek this one, anyone any experience in comparison to this one?

Late question I know but I hope you see it! Do you not get attacked from the side where your solar panels and wind turbines are? Is you do, how do you stop your turrets from accidentally shooting out your power sources? I am having a huge problem with my turrets shooting out my own.

You forgot the Clickable stuff at the end of the video. Also, here is a Mod that could replace your Nanites Mod: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=857053359 It is far less Laggy, and you can also grab a Script for it to request needed items from the Assemblers.

Add a hanger door to the grinding pit, so everything doesn't jump out while grinding.

You should switch on *garbage collection* if you haven't - to auto-remove all grids of a certain size, like the wreckage. It's in the alt-F11 menu settings I think.

Turn on trash clean up just be careful when setting it up so you dont delete your own stuff. Look up splitsie he just did a tutorial and goes in to trash clean up a bit. It will help your sim speed and run a ton better
