one thing id recommend, especially if your starting on a hill, is to build a canal up the hill towards your ship and build a collector. then mine out the canal satrting at the top and working back towards your ship. the rocks will fall down towards the collector. if your using normal suit inventory settings this can save you a ton of time in the snow since you usually have to dig a bit to get to stone. even if you dont build the collector, getting the stone to accumulate closer to your storage is way more efficient. i also do something similar when digging ore. i dig through the ore in a straight line down until i hit stone again, then start mining the ore out at an upward angle, that brings the ore to the main shaft so i can collect it, then just hit x and space and leave. saves time

Fun fact, our star or "sun" has a name. Our sun's name is Sol. In case you were wondering. That's why astronauts call days Sol 1 or Sol 2 like in The Martian. And yes, you should definitely get highly acquainted with the build planner and their controls. It's literally the most useful thing in the entire game and will save you the majority of your time. Now with all the a.i. Blocks you're in for a steep learning curve if you're getting back into this. It is a completely different game then you remember. And you can change the skin of armor to concrete. Press "P" for paint and skins.

You have to spread the windmills apart. Make the grid 12 blocks long then build the blocks vertically on blocks 1 and twelve. Go up 10 blocks and place the turnips on top. Then from top turbine and put one block on the second block on all four sides and then add turbines on the four blocks and four turbines. So you get five turbines on one post with great output. I just learned that a few days ago. I am brand new (7days old). Nice vids. 🫡🫡🫡🫡

You really want to put the basic assembler at the dead end of your connector line, not in the middle.
