The show was widely popular among insomniacs and stoners. Imagine being fatigued, drunk or high and waking up the next morning and asking yourself "was that real?" I thought it was an alcohol induced fever dream for a few days until I went online and asked around.

@@falsehero2001 some people might downplay this joke for its poor visual quality, but the idea is undoubtedly pure genius, either you marry the idea that following an ant is more interesting than hearing Conan (or any guest) talk, or you just won't get half the joke, just following the ant without the set up is just not as funny if you get hooked, the screenplay and Lowe's intervention is just as funny as any fun modern comedy, I'm not too much into TV but I had say "The office" has bits as good as this one, very high chances producers or screenwriters liked this show too, Michael Scott gives me high Space Ghost vibes as a character, Dwight easily could be Zorak or Moltar

Table Read aired before this and basically is a rought cut of what this episode would be like. Conan is played by someone from William's Street, and Dave Willis is shirtless. They don't mention that ant section, so maybe they gave George a six pack and told him to wing it and that it will be cool.

My favourite part of that film is when they finally reach the threshold to the room they’ve been musing about for the last two hours, only to sit down and say “Wait! There’s no rush.” I watched it with some buddies who had this movie roulette thing going on, and that part got a good laugh out of us, though I don’t think that was meant to be a joke. I’m probably missing something, but that movie was such navel-gazing tripe, IMO. It’s not that I’m averse to philosophy, but I think a movie should tell a story that provokes the viewer to philosophise. To have some characters we barely know just walk around delivering half-baked filibusters for 3 hours just felt pretentious and a bit manipulative.
