Oh man. This takes me back to 1985 when I first played on this. I was on a school trip to a theme park called Alton Towers in the UK. Dozens of us kids just stood around marvelling at the game.

I remember playing on one of these bayboys a fair few years back. It's a real shame that kids will never truly experience the arcades like we used to.

Can remember the very first time I tried this arcade. I was 9 years old and since that day I've wanted to own one. The game... the music... the hydraulic cabinet... Awesome!!!!!!!

The SEARS clothing department in the mall had one of these machines, it had this and Nights into Dreams right beside each other. It was right next to a Hastings, KB Toys, and a Babbage's and had an arcade named Silverball Gameroom. The good old days of 90s arcades and retro gaming.

Il est tout heureux le WahWah. Lol !!! ... Et il à raison ! ... Il à raison ! Elle me rend fou la musique de SPACE HARRIER,elle me rend dingue cette zik Je suis fou de cette musique je la kiffe trop cette musique SPACE HARRIER un bon vieux jeux d'arcade de 1985 édité par SEGA avec de la fausse 3D

I was fortunate to play the standup cabinet version of Space Harrier a few years back in the Barcade in Brooklyn. Who knows? Perhaps one bright shining day I will be able to play the deluxe version. :)

Evolution is a bastard...... 😢😢😢😢 loved the Arcade era, glad i livred through it. While its near impossible to have a cabinet, thanks to emulation, at least we have the games. I agree 100% with you. ❤ SEGA Arcade games!!!!

I'm so jealous. Used to play this machine over and over for the hi-score competition doing all 18 stages with one harrier. Cost me a lot of money back in the 80's. Any suggestions where you can still play this deluxe cabinet in Holland or Flanders?

I don't know Space Harrier Deluxe Cabinet exist before the Internet since all of Space Harrier Arcade i ever encounter are just standard cabinet and didn't move like that.

+IndraEMC Sorry to say, you've missed out... SEGA hydraulic cabinets were fucking great, Space Harrier (1985), Out Run (1986), After Burner (1987) and Turbo Out Run (1989) all were amazing in this form, often costing 30p per game (50p x 2 credits) so it added up fast, lol... Thunder Blade (1987?) had a similar setup, but was a smaller cabinet compared to the others....
