On the occasion of the successful return of the China Chang’e-6 Mission, our editor-in-chief, Dr. Emma Gatti, was featured on the BBC for an exclusive interview.
Chang'e-6 successfully returned to Earth with 2 kilos of samples from the far side of the Moon, marking a first in human exploration. However, these samples may not be accessible to the international community for some time.

Why should China share the samples with USA when they wouldn’t even allow china to use the international space station 20 years ago? Thus, china built their own and they are ahead in space research.

In the US and its allies, this achievement is widely viewed as China competing or challenging US dominance in the space. However in China, it is viewed as an important step toward its destiny “ our objective is amid of stars and galaxies (中华民族的目标是星辰大海)”. Chinese officials never made any reference to US and its space dominance.

Interesting thing is: based on the US Lunar earth sample (density and composition), Chang’e-5 aimed to collect 2KG but only managed to bring back 1.7KG. China studied this self-collected sample and applied what they had learned to Chang’e-6. This time round, it was 1.935KG. Clearly, the sample shared by US has been intentionally or unintentionally misleading the previous Chinese Lunar mission. 😊

Regrettable dishonesty to compare the Chinese time frame handover of this sample with the "almost immediately" from the Americans' Apollo half century ago, thus inferring that the Americans were more kindly. Btw, NASA has the nerves as it'll bid for a share of this sample 😆

Wow ! Even an expert, a former NASA scientist, made simple error of referring to the far side as dark side. NASA administrator Bill Nelson also said dark side of the moon. My question is did all NASA personnel, technical or non- technical, made the same dark side reference in their meeting, conference, literature, record etc ?

Getting more and more suspicious by the day when you compare the pictures/videos from this mission with the ones from Apollo 11. This lander is supposed to be much smaller, yet it had a large imprint on the lunar soil when landing. However, there's no imprint from Apollo 11's lander.

@@hyeung1 Sixty years ago, the United States broadcast the moon landing live without delay, and the president even made a phone call and had a non-delayed conversation with the astronauts. How did they do that in an era without 3G, 4G, or 5G? Zero delay! They also brought a lunar buggy and drove on the moon. How did they do that?😅😅😅
@michaelloong964
@michaelloong964 4 күн бұрын
@@sjtyuki Haha, NASA brought the internal combustion engine buggy to the moon for the astronaut to drive for fun even when there is no oxygen on the moon. Also NASA brought a lamp to the moon so that the astronauts shadows can follow them where ever they go even though the moon has no lighting.. NASA also brought a fan to the moon so that the American flag can wave on the windless moon surface.
