A fairly absorbing space flight simulator. Simple but effective.

I had the atari 2600 version .. it used ALL the switches on the console and joystick .. now that i realize how hard it is to program the 2600 it boggles my mind they were able to do it.

Wow, this took me back! I played this so much and mastered the missions so well, I met the guidelines to earn a Shuttle Pilot patch from Activision!

I loved this game as a kid.. I took it so seriously. I was so afraid of crashing.

Thanks for sharing this. I was looking for some video on the 2007 Space Shuttle Mission Simulator from PMDG/Simsquared I have when I noticed this thumbnail. Wow! Really awakens some old brain cells! I completely forgot about this.

I played this endlessly on the Atari 2600. I loved the overlay card and the fact the game made use of the switches on the 2600. Totally lost myself in it. To me it felt so real at the time.

Felt a great sense of accomplishment when I was able to take off, rendevou, and especially land. Landing was by far the funnest part of the game. Was educational, especially for me at the age I was playing it.

Ah! So you can see the stars when in orbit! I remember the ads in the computer magazines for this game and wanting to get it, but never ever did. Thanks for the review!

A great play. Id never seen this before I reviewed it for Lemontube64. The gameplay may be basic but it does have a feeling of a voyage into space, and nowhere near as hard to take off as the Apollo18 game.

Yes, it does feel like you've gone on a trip. There's just something about it that sucks you in. I'm planning on reviewing Apollo 18 soon. I just need to play it a bit more first.

I thought i'd played this before but don't recognise it at all. I think the Microprose simulators i played have rather tainted this game as it was never going to compare to those, so it comes across as a bit too basic... but for a game originally coded for the Atari 2600, it's mindblowing!

It's amazing what some of these guys could do with that machine.

2:07 Flight 2? Wimp ;) Flight 3 was the real deal. Depending on # rendezvous and fuel remaining - Flight 3 only - you would get a Pilot or Commander patch from Activision. It required a really old school screen shot: take a (film!) photo of your screen and mail it in to Activision.

Yeah I was a bit rusty. I didn't want to be too ambitious. ;)
