Absolutely awesome video, Billy. You never cease to amaze me with what you're gonna put out next. I know it's hard work with all the filming, traveling, and investigating...and we thank you for that. Love that old group photo you show around 0:28. Elvis looks quite happy here. Side note - I wonder what happened to that boy (2nd from left on bottom row) who's mugging so hard...LOL. Funny stuff, these old pix. So cool to see that old auditorium. So glad it's still standing. So many of these old places have been torn down and rebuilt for "sake of progress." Whatever. At 6:46 - love Mr. Turner's line: "Thank God they haven't modernized it." Every single school (from grade school to high school) in my hometown has been recently knocked down and rebuilt into some modern monstrosity that it makes my heart ache. I don't even recognize some of these places anymore. And 11:51 - awesome find with that book. One in a million treasure there. I remember that earlier vid where you posted about this. Amazing stuff. Didn't Tennessee Ted acquire it soon after? And so cool to hear from THE Ms. Camp. Love her story. She's what teachers should be - encouraging and inspiring. Oh yeah - I forgot to mention that I never knew Elvis had an "early band" that he could play music with. Must have been so warming to be around other like-minded kids. Going from one school to another is never much fun. Just an awesome piece you've given us here in the Elvis History puzzle. Always look forward to your next video. Thanx for the enlightenment into one of the greatest entertainers God has given us. See you in the next one. Take care.

Hi from England as said the building has not really changed to when Elvis was there. Look at those wall lights and the "art deco style" OH MY I love art deco buildings I love listening to Roy Turner and his knowledge about ELVIS and the backstory. I wonder how many of those children in the school photo are still with us?

So glad that the school is still around. Awesome to see his report card. Also to hearing stories about Elvis...first band in his school years and play. I remember the vlog about the book...so cool. Places like this make me remember that Elvis was HUMAN. He was at one point an average middle school student probably stressed over a math exam he didn’t study for 😂 He sat in those classrooms just as I sit in mine dying for the bell to ring. He didn’t know that in just 10 years he would be the biggest star on the planet. That little boy who walked those halls stressing over his math test is now in my history books.

Spa guy, can you cover on Elvis' jumpsuit? How many jumpsuit did he wear? Are these all in the Elvis musuem? Did he wear the same jumpsuit in other concert? Each suit has own name like Pheonix, every concert he never wore the same one? His designer Gene Duecett said that he was going to change the design from Jumpsuit to 2 pieces suit. Why did he stick with Jumpsuit or Bill Belew IC custome?

He did wear some 2 piece suits. I liked how the jumpsuit display was before they built the new exhibits. They had most all of them on display in the new building they only display a small percentage. I wasn't happy about that.
@mrDCunningham
@mrDCunningham 2 жыл бұрын
@@OctPSfever There were some concerts in the jumpsuit era that he wore 2 piece suits and also some shows that he wore pants and a shirt which were cool to see him in more casual wear. He got the idea of the jumpsuits from his karate suits. The jumpsuits came about when he started performing again in Vegas. It gave him comfort and room to move. Then they got fancier as time went on. The jewels and studs were flashy on stage. It was the sign of the times back then and Elvis was a man way before his time. He looked good in everything he wore. We all have our personal favorites. Liberace went way crazy with it. But it was a big part of his show too.
