The Spa Guy is an Elvis historian AND archeologist. He takes us “off road” and through some of the best Elvis experiences to ever be had on video. I feel that he has become a friend and I very much enjoy spending the time with him on these fabulous videos. He treats Elvis and us, the Elvis fans, with the greatest respect and sincerity. Very nice tribute to Ms. Selph. It's always so sad to see someone pass at such a young age. I believe Ms. Selph would have been honored to know that someone took the time to remember her (other than obvious family members) in the respectful manner in which you have portrayed her.

I've always been fascinated by the Kathy/Elvis story. Definitely a hidden gem in Elvis lore. I see there are lots of comments posted here already, but, one more from a Canadian may prove interesting. I say first of all - friends, don't invest any worry or mind the people who we call "haters." Since the WWW was first made available and graphics were developed [re: move a mouse pointer and click it??], this online environment spawned haters. Returning to this great presentation by our friend, "Spa Guy", this video is one of the finest presentations I have seen in all my years, and I am 55 years old. I do recall the picture of young Mary and Elvis riding on his Harley Davidson was featured in the Elvis magazines I purchased in the days when I was a teenager of the late 70s, but, as Spa Guy explains, no one knew who she was. Thank you, Spa Guy for solving another Elvis mystery story. My question based on what I have learned from the video, why did Elvis shout out to the photographer about having his picture taken?? I always assumed Elvis didn't mind people taking his picture?? Maybe there is another story behind the story here. Thank you , Spa Guy for investing the time and commitment to gathering all the details of Mary/s brief life with Elvis. I don't wish to end my note with a sad or maudlin point, but, the nature of the type of auto accident Mary experienced is not uncommon. Unfortunately, when a car hits one of those bridge abutments it often proves fatal. Simple physics. Search on KZfaq for a layman's explanation of Sir Isaac Newton's First Law. Spa Guy's video presented the concrete wall erected around the abutment later?? This move is to afford some degree of flexibility to the unfortunate driver should they collide with these concrete pillars. Rest in peace Mary Kathleen Selph and Elvis Aaron Presley. My sincere condolences to Kathy's family and friends. I'm sure Elvis was so heartbroken by her loss. I lost my best friend to a automobile accident and that pain is undescribable. Tragic I wonder why Priscilla got this motorcycle in the divorce. Strange. One thing for sure Elvis looks hot on it!

I just love all your Elvis story.. I was 8 months old when he passed away but my parents took my sister and I in March of 77 to Graceland. I just love Elvis.... I took my mom back to Graceland this passed October it was great... Thank u again

If you told me this was 1976 or 1977 I might believe it, but not 1972, in 1972 he was still at the top of his game looks wise.

Made me wonder if Kathy’s father was Fire Chief where Elvis’s ambulance was dispatched from, or otherwise connected, at the time of Elvis’s death.

Elvis has an elastic band in his sleeve just above the elbow. Almost a good shirt for riding BUT the cape would blow into Kathy’s face, not so good.

I can attest to to fact that you could see Elvis riding a motorcycle!! I grew up in Whitehaven, before it was in the Memphis city lines!! What a great place to grow up in!

I have a copy of the picture in question and have always believed that it was Elvis, but I never knew who the girl was. She sure was a lucky girl to be dating Elvis. Thanks for introducing her to us.
