Agree that Spain are favorites. England’s big advantage is their squad depth. Southgate has to be brave and go for it in the second half. If he brings on Watkins, Palmer, Toney, Gordon, Eze etc early enough, then they might have a chance.

If England are still in the game by the second half, then substitutions could play a major role. Southgate could literally replace anyone in attack or midfield, and still be as strong - but with fresher legs.

I noticed that too. I've also noticed that most English people actually think they will win because it's their fate, they have learned from last Euro, or that Spain only beat Italy by a goal but the Swiss beat Italy and England beat the Swiss. Talk about reaching! I think I have figured out part of the reason they have never won. They can't take criticism or the truth. It also explains why they overrate their players.

Those players dont get the ball where they want if we stop Rodri and Fabian. Thats her point. You neutralize their attacking threats by controlling the middle of the park and not let Rodri and Fabian dictate the tempo. Easier said than done.

England was favourites at home vs Italy and we still lost - I don't care if we are facing prime Brazil on Sunday - back 2 back final defeats is a record I don't want - this Spanish team wasn't in anyone's real estimations of making the final so again it's win or nothing - we've got the experience of losing in this moment for more momentum - we have to win this game

Spain played bigger names but they were all terrible and not even bothered it seemed whilst England played teams that played games like a final and sat back so of course England looked bad the only time a team came to play 1st hf against Dutch we looked good, England had a much harder route

Rodri has had many bad games...he was terrible in the FA cup final misplacing a lot of passes..he was very poor in Spain's qualifier defeat to Scotland...he seemed almost non existent as we watched German pour forward with wave after wave of attacks in the 2nd half of the quarter final...give me a break

They have been in this position before and its up to the players to learn from that defeat against Italy and produce a good 90 minutes of football. This seems to be a theme every tournament. In the world cup the narrative was: ‘How do England stop Mbappe?’ And in many tournaments prior the focus was on stopping the opposition rather than playing our game well and winning. This Spanish team isn't great far from it, Croatia second half France second half Germany most of the game where better - this Spanish team does tend to play on the defensive more when leading games which let's teams get at them more and once those 2 wide boys get subbed off they really don't have the depth you can say changes anything and they look totally different in attack but besides all of that - from the get go Spain playing forward football with thier main players are a threat to any team but let's be real thus Spanish team is being matched man for man on Sunday

Southgate’s luck will run out and England will lose to Spain on Sunday. As far as some "pundits" are concerned, England can lose 0-5 to Spain and these media people or ex-players will still praise Southgate as the best manager England has ever had simply because he took England to 2 consecutive Euro Finals. Southgate is already a god and can do no wrong in these people's (the FA included) eyes. Remaining trophy-less is not going to diminish his deity status. These pundits and ex-players are going to call for knighthood for him regardless of Sunday's performance and result. On the other hand, for supporters who want nothing less than an England trophy, keeping Southgate beyond this Euro will be an absolute disaster.

Take either Williams,Yamal or Ruiz out of the team and it doesn't massively make a difference there's replacements take Rodri out then watch that team struggle

Spain have been the best team in this tournament thus far, playing the best football & beating the better opponents & all of a sudden they will not play good & loose the final to England who in return have played amonst the worst football, beaten the lesser opponents & found themselves on the easier side of the draw hence why their in the final & now they will suddenly play better & beat Spain? None of this makes any sense at all, only English fans believe they can win. Spain will win, I'm predicting Spain 3 England 1
