I enrolled for a one-year Spanish Course in Spain just recently but also just decided to explore the digital nomad industry as well. Just in case, If I earn a salary below the DNV's requirements, I was thinking of applying for a Student Visa instead but showing the consulate that I have a remote job as proof that I can support myself and a DNV if I earn above or within the DNV's requirements. Will this be okay? Hindi naman po siya red flag diba po? Thank you!

If you are working as an Assistant Language Teacher in Spain under a Student Visa and worked there for more than 2 years, Can you apply for Permanent Residency?

You need to have valid residency to apply for citizenship. Residence is valid under any of the permits or visas that grant residence. As an aux, you're on a student visa so the stay does not count.

I recently discovered this visa and I'm very interested 🥹 ask ko lang po about sa tax as a freelancer, been working as a freelancer since 2020 when I left my corporate job but I haven't registered pa as a self employed or a freelancer :( will it affect my application kaya? and if I get my certificate of registration soon and wait for 3months to apply, paano yung mga previous years na di ako naka pay ng tax? thanks po 🙏

Hi Marian, thank you so much - this is so informative. :) Hubs and I are hoping to move to Spain on DNV in a year or two - any news on when this visa is going to be available until? Also, we hold both PH and AU passports - can we enter Spain using our AU passport and apply for DNV there with our PH passport, so we can apply for SP citizenship after 2 years?

You're welcome! Yes, that should be fine to enter with your AU passports. A lot have successfully done it this way. It's looking to be available for quite a while still. There have been no rumors of its removal.

What if you're both employed and a contractor, and the contractor job meet the income requirement? When you sign up as autonomo, do you also declare your regular employee income? Will the UGE care if you lose your contracting job, if you can still stay afloat from your employee income?

It's almost the same documents with a few updated financials and new forms. You can even re-apply immediately for the 3 years when landing in Spain (we've successfully done this for quite a few clients now).

My contract only states my hourly rate and not a specific figure, so my monthly income depends on the hours that I work. I meet the income requirement and I have my bank statements to prove it. Is that enough or is it required to have an exact figure in my contract?

Yes, you need contracts for all three. Note that the salary requirement has increased this year.

Hi,, Question po. For example, I am a family of 4(a wife and 2 kids). I am the one who is working. For the Social Security, does the (340Euro) for one person applicable for 1 person only? Or will my family be covered ? -Stewart

Your family will be covered once registered as dependents. The amount you pay for social security will depend on your earnings. Based on the required earnings for a family of four, it would be around 377-398 EUR.

Hello mam. Mejo confused with salary po. In 1st screen for salary it states 131,760 is only needed for single applicant but in tax screen stated the salary sample needee is around €2520 or 153,720 which one is correct po? Thank you

Hi! It’s P131,760 (EUR 2,160) if applying in the PH and EUR 2,520 if applying in Spain.

Hi. If applying in Spain as a freelancer, no need. But if applying in the Philippines as a freelancer, you’ll have to show proof of private insurance to the embassy.

If you need the 4 clients to make up the minimum income, you’ll have to request from all of them.

How about po Ill ask the letter sa dalawang clients lang po but I will provide nman supporting docs like bank statements, Paylip and invoices to suffice the required salary monthly? 2 of my clients are busy and bihira lang po talaga sla mag reply but on time nmn po payment kc via Upwork. Yes, that's correct. You can apply separately and individually prove that you meet the monthly earning requirements.
