about the comparison between Yamal andd Messi: Yamal's floor is highere but his ceiling can't possibly be the same as Messi's meaning Yamal came into professional football with more maturity, but the footbball skills Messi had and how he translated them into 15 years of being inevitable, we have not seen yet in Yamal. Maybe we never will. We've barely seen it in history. Only Maradona maybe had that level of football skill.

With due respect, I give it to Spain that beating Germany and France isn’t easy. But against Germany the opposition had more chances and should have had two penalties to be honest. Against France they only had two shots on goal. They can beat England, of course, but it isn’t going to be easier than playing France.

Nobody cares or remembers the group stage. None of the games that have gone before will mean a thing. Either side can win it. Its 50/50. Ppl can criticise them but theyve still made their secund successive final and at the last euros everyone was using the 'lucky England who gets to play most games at home' etc. Well didn't help Germany much did it. As if England are going to approach a euros final the way they approach serbia of Switzerland etc. There's no way. Both sides have got the talent to win it but if it comes down to who wants it most then it will be England and while Spain hasn't lot yet all that means is theyre due a loss. England are also going to produce at least one game where all their talent clicks and as we haven't seen it yet, well that only leaves one game doesn't it. @jacyhoogvliets5716

As an England fan, I came into this Euros optimistic… and rightly so… we had the Prem and La Liga POTY and Europe’s top scorer. But after the sh1t sandwiches Gareth served us in the group stages, my perception of the team changed and I couldn’t see this team progressing beyond the quarters. I’d already come to peace at being knocked out during the 85th minute of the Slovakia game. But then the Jude moment happened… and every single minute since then has been a bonus. The resilience they've shown in the knockout matches has made me believe again. So come Sunday, win or lose, this England side has exceeded my expectations. If Spain win, fair play… they have been the best team in the tournament and fully deserve it. But if England win it, they would fully deserve it too for being the ONLY team able to stop Spain… Croatia couldn’t, Italy couldn’t, Germany couldn’t and France couldn’t. Either way, come Sunday, I am just happy that I can support my country in another major final… which is a lot more than what many of these England haters can do!!!!

@@doml9896 Couldn't s agree more Southgates mechanical, apprehensive and robotic style of play have meant our players have had to save the day. Any world class manager would have this team playing fluently and they'd be feared. Isn't it tike we started Gordon, Watkins for Kane and Palmer for Foden?! But he's too scared to deviate to what makes sense. Thats how we should start the final they are the only changed needed imo.

But sometimes its best to save your impactful players who are used to make runs on goal etc until your opposition are goosed. Theres no better time to bring palmer and warkins on than after spain have played 80 tough minutes, if we're still in it by then. Theyre like your finishers. Starting them might work sure, but who do you bring on when theyre cooked? Kane!! Toney? Toney hasn't really done much other than play a basic header across the box to kane and score one of the penalties. And im not a fan of all that not looking at the ball penalty thing. That's the sort of thing that is just asking to go all Rashford when it most matters. No thanks. So as boring as it sounds id start with kane with the hope he can poach us an early goal (or two) cause he will also have his eye on that top scorer spot as well, and id use him till he was done. You can't leave it to the final to completely alter the way youre set up to play. @@GreatScottByJoe

I'm thinking they are tired but part of it is that they've been a top team against "lesser" teams that have sat so heavy on defence and pressing that its made ut harder for them and then as they go further into the competition and they play more attacking teams they're getting more space and opening up more. Kane is looking tired though and Bellingham. I'd take Bellingham off put Watkins on and Try some kind of formation with Watkins supporting kane then when kane gets too tired sub him for Bellingham

Spain needs to strike quickly and have more shot on goal than they did against France. England has been good at chasing a game but we will see if they can counter against Spain and progress the ball into the final third.

I'm an England fan, and Spain are no doubt a great team. However, England are elite defensively, have great depth off the bench, and throughout this tournament have found a way to get over the line. Last minute winners, overhead kicks, winning on penalties, comebacks, winning ugly. Whatever it takes.

I am a supporter of England but the truth of this Euro tournament is Spain have been the most outstanding team and England the least outstanding team. England also had an easy grouping. Imagine if we had had to play Spain, Italy, Germany or France in the early stages. We would have been home ages ago. It will take a miracle for us to be bringing home the trophy. It is a foregone conclusion that Spain will win.

Let’s ignore the quality of both teams and talk experience: This Spanish side is young and this is the first major tournament final for pretty much all of the players. This England team were in the last euros final and lost. England have the experience and the mental resilience, Spain don’t. That in and of itself is a major advantage. This England team know the pressure and know what it’s like to lose the final; to many of them, this is redemption.

France, Croatia n Italy have all had more experience than this spanish team in big games in recent years yet all of them lost to spain n despite the scorelines it wasn't really close in any of those games outside of say France. Spain is playing the better football n is in better form. Only chance i see england winning this game is on penalties or a lucky goal. Whinging about the referee? Southgate said before the game it didn't matter who the referee was. And you don't get to the final without skill. They were favourites at the start and made it to the final. Oh apparently it was the easier side? Well they still had to beat those teams, you can only beat who is in front of you and they put themselves in that side of the draw. Greece won it being more boring by defending. Winning is winning. I hope England win.

england has been awful all tournament and they werent good this last match either. if memphis depay didnt go down injured, netherlands would have won that match. this entire euros has been underwhelming and one of the only 3 teams that were playing good ball is the one that should beat the brakes off of england. also, no spanish team has ever had possession for possession's sake. Enrique just never ahd an adequate playmaker and 9 on the end of the possession.

Dude England had more possession, more shots, more shots on target and out passed Netherlands. I don’t know what game you were watching but England played great until the later parts of the 2nd half. Netherlands couldn’t even get the ball of their half of the field for a large part of the game 😂. Memphis hasn’t been great so he wouldn’t have made a difference if he stayed on.

@@Gio-m you're talking about how the game panned out. up until memphis depay got hurt, netherlands had all of attacking momentum. and the only actual england potential came from foden, whereas depay, malen, and simons were all involved BECAUSE of Depay's hold up play and dropping to get involved. move on bro.

@@bonglesnodkins329 their entire game changed after. they had no possession or any real build up play after he went down. changed the entire dynamic. his movement off of the ball is incredible, hes super skillful, and hes excellent and keeping play progressive.... and people really undervalue that part of his game.

Game ended early when extra 'injury time' should have been added. You know why - England civilised half the world and they didn't want it. And the ref exemplified that. :D Spain were the best team over the month and on the night. If only they'd bothered empire building! ;) ;) ;) Well done Spain, hard luck England.

England only lost the Euro 2020 final cause they have this curse where they can't beat Italy in major tournaments but England has beaten Spain before in major tournaments so England actually has a chance to win the final although it seems very unlikely England will beat Spain cause Spain's team is much stronger than England's team but you never know and it would be better if England wins instead of Spain so Spain won't have 4 euro's and surpass everyone

As a neutral football fan i sincerely hope Spain win. England have been abysmal whole tournament and would have been out but for a ridiculous penalty awarded by var after the ref didnt allow it. The draw favoured England from the start and they were still useless.

(or any team not in the final....😭) also rules are rules, that "ridiculous" penalty is a freekick anywhere else on the pitch, the English have suffered from spanish divers doing it on the byline in the champions league for years....? in the real world its a close call, and it will come down to the best TEAM (Spain) Vs the best PLAYERS (England).......

I do hope southgate is writing out his resignation speech before spain beats them. England have been the worst team in the competition. They have had an easy draw and all the luck in the world. But for a very dubious penalty which the referee originally didnt give they would be home by now. Im a neutral football fan. I see the bum lickers in the england team are calling for southgate to continue as coach. All his football life he has been a serial loser.
