Strangely enough, the 1989 LP was back-lashed by critics. In my opinion this is sophisti-pop at its best.

It was a constant refrain back then and in the 1990's: "Eighties music is so over-produced! We're gonna trash anything that's sharp, bright, and clear." To each their own, but this work didn't deserve to be so maligned by the emerging "grunge" fad.

On that time it sounds like Stick with their 80s sound : People would say "The Band didn't grow up" Then we gonna heard same person whine about "Nobody making sound like this anymore" 20 years later. Updated their sound : People would say about "Yesteryear Band, Ignored them" "Sellout" Then we gonna heard same person whine about "How underrated their music/this album was" "Heart Like A Sky" maybe a bittersweet ending album of Spandau Ballet. But I loved the album sound very much ❤️ Breezy and much better than "Through The Barricades"

I remember my mum and I were visiting family in Austria and I spotted this album while out shopping in Italy. Of course I immediately grabbed it and bought it! I fell so in love with each song. I know the guys don’t like it,but it really is a fantastic album!

It's a mystery to me why the singles from this period started to flop, because this song is as good as anything from the peak period.

Because they chose to go pop. In other words, a sell out. They were cool as synthpop and new wave. They have great guitarist, bassist, etc. they should’ve used their talents like what they used to do. They were cool before they made pop records. Now all you hear is Tony’s pop vocals. I love him but more when it’s not pop.

Probably just ran their course. I believe that this album was just as good as the ones before. Maybe it was because they waited too long to release it, or maybe it was because the music scene was changing. Hip hop type of music was in.

It all comes down to bad management. Steve Dagger is 100% to blame with that band not being more popular. The last album wasn't even released in the states.

Tony Hadley. OMG!!! What more can I say. Spectacular voice, then and now, and he is still handsome, today. Although, he was gorgeous here and in the older videos. I just love him. Especially when he wore leather, sexy. This band is great. Love the music. My favorite group of all time.

Tall, slender, perfect hair, great voice, sexy and sultry--he had it all. And the leather pants! Stooop! Like many I've been a Spandau fan for over 30 years now. I first came across their music whilst at boarding school in the 80s. However this is the first time I've heard this one, and I love it. I really wish I could hear them play this one live.

Songs so powerful and with strong feelings, other singers made few(for example George Michael with Careless whisper), but Spandau Ballet did many like "true", "gold", "only when you leave", "i'll fly for you" and this one of course(and many more)

Que lindo fue haber vivido estos tiempos ochentenos y estos guapos que se quedaron en mi baúl de los recuerdos y que los veo cundo quiero volver en la maquina del tiempo no le envidiamos estos tiempos a nadie porque esta fueron los mejores y es un gran repertorio que quedó para la historia y aunque ya estamos envejeciendo estos recuerdos siguen jóvenes vivían los 80s y todos los que los vivimos yesss.
