Hi everyone,
This is my first attempt at a video run through of a game, its taken some doing, this must be at least a couple of months in the makingq.
In the video I run through a game using our house rules (please watch the intro video)
It takes a while as I explain the rules and how they work but by the end of the video you will know how everything works.
If it gets enough interest I will put up some links to playsheets and cards etc.
Let me know what you think.

Love the scw, I play using the Too Fat Lardies modifications to Chain of Command and we’ve done several games in my group, been great fun, love your podcasts and big battles theme……..still painting Napoleonics somewhere north of 4000 figures and still going, a few big battle games on my KZfaq if you’re interested, cheers JP

Love the mechanism with the pesetas. Limited ammo is certainly important when playing Republicans.

@@YarkshireGamer - Just wondering if I can work pesetas into CoC España... Several other ideas that might transfer well. Will have to watch again and have a think. Still raising my first SCW units - La Legion and a Barcelona Militia. Probably with side servings of Asaltos and Moors.

@@sirrathersplendid4825 I cant see why not, the system is just another way of getting reinforcements and is separate from the core game mechanics so it should just bolt on.

I didn't get to watch the whole thing yet but I quite like the rules for the mortar shots. Makes mortars more spicy than most rulesets. Would make a good house rule in other games...

It focuses the mind when aiming and also introduces the posiblity of friendly fire 👍

I have an interest in the Spanish civil war being half Spanish myself. My Spanish grandfather was a general during the civil war I have his victory medal. I have never actually thought about collecting it for the table though.

Thanks for posting, its conflict that still affects Spain today and not for everyone but I find the history and politics of the war fascinating

It’s an amazingly colourful period to game. Much prefer those clanky old armoured cars and clapped-out boiler-plate armour trucks to Tiger tanks and Shermans.

Very cool. I have never played the Iron Ivan games before. Or seen them played.

Thanks Chris, we very much use the Iron Ivan rules as a base. There a lot of very big differences to our game play, activation cards being the most obvious.

Yeah I am watching it out of order, and checking out your first spanish civil war rules about adding the cards and etc. Did you do a blog post about the changes or mods you use for the disposable heros books?
