The Juan Sebastian de Elcano, a Spanish Navy Training Ship, is in the Port of Pensacola and you can take a tour any day this week.

I saw this ship passing by when I was sailing off the coast of NYC through the Hudson River. I got emotional knowing the significance of what I had just witnessed.

España ayudó a USA en su guerra de Independencia. España y USA tienen mucha historia en común, gran parte de su territorio perteneció a la Corina de España y sus primeros pobladores fueron hispanos. El barco escuela Elcano, es un medio de hermandad con otras naciones.

Gorgeous vessel, named after the first navigator to circumnavigate the globe. Contrary to popular belief - and thanks to the nefaroius Black Legend - Ferdinand Magellan did not complete the expedition and they even weren't ment to circumnavigate the globe, they just were tasked by the King of Spain to find a suitable route to the Indies which didn't include going around Africa, in order to respecto the Tordesillas Treaty

@@Ari_Esp Unfortunately, it is true. Back in 2014, 127 kg. of cocaine loaded in Colombia were found in the ship. Thirteen people were trialed, but the case was finally dropped and no one was ever punished, as far as I know.

@@ricardollorente el caso se archivo pq no hubo evidencia de que nadie de la tripulación hubiera metido la droga en el barco. Me parece muy sucio tratar de ensuciar la labor del buque escuela JS. Eso nos pasa por hacer escala en Colombia y dejar que panchis pisen nuestro barco.
