French Prononciation challenge / Spanish people try to pronounce difficult french words
I asked some Spanish people to try to pronounce french words in Madrid to read some french words and I can say that it's been a lot of fun !
French pronunciation can be tricky but in this video I'm explaining some useful rules to help you nail that french accent !

La prononciation française est parfois un peu compliquée mais dans cette vidéo, j'explique quelques règles de prononciation qui vont vous aider à maitriser l'accent français.

@@latifaablla2390 ça c'est un des gros bugs des proche orientaux, avec "ant", qui devient "ont" et 'eu" qui ne dépasse pas le "euouuuu". j'ai un pote Irakien résidant en France depuis la fin des 70's: j'adore lui faire dire "hippopotame": c'est mission impossible, le "P" n'existant pas dans sa culture. heureusement il sait avoir de l'humour., et me le rend bien.

@Eternal In francese, gli aggettivi (qualunque sia la loro funzione sintattica) di popoli, razze, etnie, abitanti di una città o di una regione, ecc., prendono la minuscola. In conclusione, non scrivere "italiano" maiuscolo quando ti presenti. C'è un secondo piccolo errore nel tuo commento. La parola "français" è scritta con una "ç". @@lieu8318 As a Spanish speaker I say when it comes to vowels, French is a nightmare with its 16 vowels, the pronunciation of the r and the silent letters, Italian that I am learning too is good on that part, perhaps too good, they don't have silent letters at all, not even the few we share with French, but the letter c and everything related to it is quite confusing, also the double letters, in Spanish we have few and with very distinct sounds, in Italian that is not the case, so in brief, what is easier in one language is hard in the other.

@@patax144 yea I speak italian and I'm learning Spanish now. I'm just saying that the Spanish pronunciation is somhow similar to Italian. I could understand like 95% of a Spanish conversation. On the other hand French is much closer to Italian in terms of vocabulary. But the pronunciation is mostly different. So yea.. It's incredible... we don't have a clue of the right pronunciation despite the fact that both Spaniards and French speak a romance language, and we are even neighbors! I liked the video, it was so funny 😊! I liked the desperate tries of Linguriosa, almost kissing in every syllable 😅... did she tried with the German pronunciation with "meurtre"? Anyway, all my attempts were a complete disaster...

Castilian and French have three languages of transition between them, the Aragonese, the Catalan (Valencian) and the Occitan dialects. Maybe Spain and France are neighbors but their principal languages aren't

Solo al principio, después de unos meses ya te vas adaptando, almenos hace más sentido que el inglés en el cual muchas veces no se puede decir una nueva palabra porque no sabes como se pronuncia, y si bien el francés no se Lee como se escribe hay "reglas" y aunque son bastantes nada que con el tiempo no se logre. Tienes razón pero ni te cuentes el lío por nosotros la pronunciación del español. Si ustedes se arrancan los pelos al escrito francés, nosotros la pronunciación española nos hace daño... todavía no me sale la doble "r"

@@remymoreno837 jejeje eso sí, debe ser complicado para un francofono imitar nuestra pronunciación, sin contar los numerosos acentos que tenemos, tanto en España como en Hispanoamerica, la doble rr siempre es lo más complicado para un extranjero.

This is how French language was made…the universe was like we need a language hard to pronounce and the way words are spelled will not give a single clue how to pronounce them because we are using many letters to make the words look cute but we will not pronounce them hahaha

Sure, as if english writting was really coherent. Why are lead and lead pronounced differently, why are there 3 different "e" sounds in english pronounciation of "mercedes". Why do americans say Nike like Ni-key but they don't pronounce bike bikey ? Also if the gh sound in enough is pronounced f, the o in women is a short i sound and the ti in nation is a sh shound, shouldn't "ghoti" be pronouced just the same way as "fish" ?

As a native English speaker, this exercise reinforces my decision years ago to study Spanish because I can pronounce most of the words. French is beyond me and I always seem to burst out laughing when I try to get that back of the throat sound. Not that my pronunciation of Spanish is always correct.

C'est super ta vidéo Elisa. Je suis péruvien et je crois que j'avais fait les mêmes fautes dans mon époque de débutant en langue française. Le mot le plus compliqué pour moi a été Chartreuse et aussi j'ai galéré à faire la différence entre un œuf et des œufs. Merci pour la vidéo!

Ça me rappelle la fois où, dans le métro parisien, j’avais entendu des catalanes regarder les plan de la ligne et trouver la prochaine station : "Tuileries". Prononcé à la catalane, ça donnait à peu près “touille la riasse”.

Hablo francés, aprendí el castellano en España y la verdad para mí las dos idiomas son muy parecidas, de mí punto de vista si hablas primero el francés el español te sería mucho más fácil aprender porque se lee casi como se escribe pero el francés tiene muchas muchas letras mudas que no se pronocian pero se escribe, esto es un rompecabezas incluso para nosotros y además el francés tiene muchas combinaciones de letras que se leen juntas con su sonidos propias es alucinante la verdad pero es lo que hace su belleza, gracias

Our language and spelling works in different ways so it's hard.

We have a very straightforward way of pronouncing words and we only have 5 (five) vowel sounds, we for example don't have the "v" sound that's pretty common in almost every other European language and we don't have any words starting with "St", "Sp", "Sm", "Sn" or anything like that, like most other European languages do. That's why we tend to struggle the most with pronunciation when we learn French, German, Italian (yes, even Italian is somewhat hard for us), Portuguese, English, Russian, Dutch, etc. but we are somewhat decent at grammar and vocabulary. Ironically enough I'm learning Japanese and it's the other way around. Japanese has 5 vowel sounds and doesn't have many, if any, consonant clusters, and it doesn't have the "v" sound, so it's pronunciation is easy for Spanish-speakers. It's the rest (grammar, vocabulary, writing/reading) that's a nightmare, totally the opposite of whenever we learn other European languages.

Merci pour les votre videos. Je suis portuguais et jau queque famille Français donc jai apris lá langue avec eux. Le Français dans lá mienne opinion cest une langue tellemente Jolie. Merci pour tous. Ps: je vien par lhe cheine du Leo de Portugal!
