As a Filipino, I feel like incomplete because there is something missing in the past that is Spanish language. Like a child of Spain that has been given for adoption and now lost connection with brothers. If Filipinos speak Spanish again we can reconnect with our brothers in Latin America and share our common culture.

Oh....I didn't know it was removed from their official language. Some of my Filipino friends still speak Spanish fluently so I came up with a conclusion that it was still part of their official language.I wonder why I didn't asked them about this but thanks for the reply

Once again I read somewhere about a year ago that they're considering re-instroducing the Spanish language as this would have a positive impact in any form of commerce, or interaction with other Spanish countries. That's right. Some people in the Philippines can speak Spanish. There s also Chavacano which is spoken in Zamboanga City, I once watched the Chavacano news, it s I could not believe my ears! I was listening to Spanish :)

Chavacano language technically has various dialects. Chavacano Zamboangeño (still existing), Chavacano Ternateño and Chavacano Ermitaño (now extinct after the rape of manila by the Japanese)

I am filipino im really surprised philippines is on the list despite in majority of all pilipinos don't speak in spanish i wish spanish will revive in education system in philippines

Hola Cosmic Phil...I'm aware that many are the languages spoken in the Philippines, but I also know that many of the languages spoken are heavily influenced by Spanish. Tagalog for examples, has more than 5000 Spanish words. Moreover, there historical connections and Spanish influence is undeniable. There are places in the Philippines where Spanish is still spoken, at least Pidgin Spanish like in Zamboanga where they speak Chavacano. Saludos :)

En Andorra el idioma oficial es Catalán pero el Español lo habla más del 90 por ciento de la población, yo estuve allí de vacaciones.

Mi primera esposa es dominicana. Tengo dos hijas con ella. Mi esposa actual es de Filipinas. Mis dos hijas hablan español. Mi hijo habla taglog pero entiende español y puede hablarlo un poco. soy de Estados Unidos.

Hello Allyson....Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate it. My video mainly discussed countries where Spanish is, or has been an official language. I believe the official language in Belize is English. However, I do hear your suggestion, and I'm thinking about producing a 2nd updated video discussing not only the countries where Spanish is an official language, but also the countries where Spanish is a recognized language as it is in Belize. Hay varios puntos para abarcar con mi comentario, espero que no quede largo: 1- Gracias Nicaragua por ser la cuna del gran Rubén Darío, el mundo hispanohablante lo agradece, al menos yo. 2- ¿En qué lugares de Filipinas aún se habla en español?, quizás está concentrado en una de sus islas. 3- Habría que darle un poco más de publicidad a la Guinea Ecuatorial, que está bien solo en África, rodeado de francófonos, están ahí introduciendo nuestro idioma de a poco en partes de Gabón y Camerún, que siempre ayuda. 4- Hay que hacerle justicia al español, para mí después del inglés, es el idioma más importante de occidente, dicen que es el francés, pero el portugués es más importante que éste último, hay muchas formas de justificar esto.
