In this video, I will show you how to install the Rockville Rockghost V2 subwoofer in your spare tire. I demonstrate with a VW atlas, but the principle is similar for other cars.

Thanks. I have my Rockville sitting right here and was wondering the best way to tap into my atlas. Now I need to see if I have that key to take out the head unit.

Why do you say you prefer the jbl over the rockrille? What's the difference besides the price?

Hello, Did you have to adapt the Sub using OBD II/VCDS or it was a Plug n Play setup and all was good?

It is a plug and play setup. No adaptation is needed.

Can you power the door speaker with the subwoofer amp? And does it sound good

No, you can't. Unless you open the subwoofer and do some additional wiring. But even if it were possible, I wouldn't advise it since the door speaker is full-range and already loud. The only thing missing is the very low frequency, which the subwoofer provides.

does it sound good without adding any amps to the door speakers?

Yes, it does. Once you set the volume of the sub to blend with the stock speakers.

Are you using a hi low convertor, and where does your remote wire go to

I used the high-level input on the sub, so there's no need for a converter or remote wire.

Does the head unit decrease and increase the sub bass when turned down or up? Or does the bass stay the same no matter where you set the volume at on the head unit?

The headunit controls the volume of the sub and the whole system.

Quick question pal would I have to do any modifications to my already existing factory amp?

Not really. You only have to connect the new sub to the speaker wires and do the power wiring for the new sub to the battery and ground.

does it really even do anything, the JBL is twice the price cuz it has a build in AMP. im in the middle of choosing between both and as far as i can see between both is this one dont have a amp and so i would imagine the advertise 600w is probably very flat.

This one has a powered and passive. So it’s not so different than the JBL
