Here comes another after effects tutorial for you all who want to animate their logo in After effects without using any third party plugin. This tutorial is applicable to all versions of After effects. You can easily create it first attempt only. Try and Show others.. :)

Many People complained about Vegas effect is not working for them, it is because Vegas works better on Channels (RGB). Sometimes if your logo colour is Close to the channel colour (Red, Gree, Blue and Alpha(Black or White)), it won't work properly. So the Solution is here: prntscr.com/ed95p6

About Vegas...If your logo's colors are split, the lines will not go around them. so if there is a block of color and a black line going through it, the neon lights will go around one in a circut and avoid the other. so if you break the black line, it lets the neon lights go around all of the block of color.

That trick with the Null Object to scale all the layers without a ton of key frames is genius. I am taking an Animation class and this is super helpful to know as I am just beginning to learn. Thank you!

Okay, I saw it. You can make another copy of Logo Comp layer, but this time don't use Selected contour option, just use rotation and length.. :)
