The Soviet Era Luna 3 was the first spacecraft to utilize gravity to change course to photograph the dark side of the Moon. The NASA Mariner 10 mission used the technique to swing by Venus to target Mercury. The gravity assist or slingshot maneuver has become a standard for navigating the solar system. With our probes reaching further, faster, and more accurately than ever before.

I have a question for whoever produces the videos for this channel: Why are the music and completely irrelevant (and often irritating) sound effects so excessively loud compared to the narration? It makes the videos difficult to listen to.

@@tylercooper1551 Wasn't going to point this out at first, but since two people have come up with this idea: If they were trying to hide a flagrant copyright violation, then making the music so loud would be counterproductive.

So many egotistical folks deny there's life out there. They've watched too many scary sci-fi movies... With all the stars & planets out there, it's inevitable that some form of life had formed on many planets. Hope to see a sentient being from out there some day!🛸👽🚀

What the heck is up with the music track? And why not describe the video for what it is? A brief overview of several significant planetary science probes and their findings, something like that. It's not as if you were trying to clickbait us, so if you're going to be honest, be accurate too! Kudos on you efforts but LESS music, a little more information, and a better title, please.

This is poorly edited...the Cassini mission was to SATURN, not JUPITER!!! Do not release "science" and "space" videos unless you get all your facts right. I am am dropping my subscription and giving you a failing grade.

Of course you will never understand if you look at it that way. It's much deeper and far more nuanced than that. We see pre-life all around us defying entropy by engaging in self organization. Crystals do that and they are in almost every rock on the planet. Life organizes molecule by molecule over huge amounts of time.

Just remember folks, the church one said that the earth was the center of the universe and blah blah blah, and if one said otherwise they would get burnt at the stake or crucified or whatever wonderfully delightful demise the church could conjure up at the time. Isn't it amazing that religious folks want to cite the bible to prove whatever point they want and Jesus is love blah blah blah, yet the church devised untold zillions of ways to torture and maim!!
