If they do clone people, they'll probably use DNA from one of the parents, so that people could choose to give birth to, or raise, their own identical twin. That in and of itself would open up a can of worms, let alone any issues from the cloning in and of itself. Psychologist who study nature vs. nurture would have a field day! Maybe raising their own twin would bring up all kinds of childhood issues for the parent, where they'd basically try to live through their kid and force their kid to live out all their failed dreams and do everything the parent wishes they did as a child. I actually think something like this would be an interesting idea for a sci fi book. Maybe the story could be about a rogue infertility doctor, working with a psychologist, who keeps the embryo of an identical twin that formed naturally during the IVF process. The baby from that pregnancy had her face badly disfigured in a fire at the age of one, and required a ton of reconstructive surgeries, so her face looks completely different from how it would've looked naturally. When the woman grows up, she has fertility issues herself and returns to the same doctor who helped her parents. He unbeknownst to her, implants her with her own twin. No one catches on because of the mother's disfigured face. She ends up having a very complicated and fraught relationship with that daughter, who feels like her mom is always trying to make her be her, to the point where it's creepy. The mother goes crazy and controls her daughter's environment to try to make it as similar to her own childhood as possible, but with all the bad elements removed. The woman was a musical genius. She always wanted to become a musician and play the piano, but her parents would never let her because they thought it was a waste of time and didn't want to spend the money on lessons. She went to a terrible public school where her classmates and teachers bullied her badly. So she sends her daughter to the private schools she wishes she went to, raises her in the same neighborhood, and forces her to only be friends with the types of people that she wishes she could've been friends with as a kid. She pushes her to compete in piano contest and become a professional classical pianist. She won't even allow her daughter to watch any TV or movies or listen to any music that she didn't watch or listen to as kid, or use any technology that didn't exist during her own childhood, so the daughter almost even thinks it's another decade. No one can understand why this child is being raised in such an extreme way and it eventually comes to a head, when the girl has a break down and does something crazy. And then the truth about the doctor's experiment comes out, along with a few other secrets. Does this sound like a good book, or does it sound stupid?

They are already working on growing replacement organs in pigs, so it is very unlikely that they will grow a human clone to adulthood, with the attended cost and the reality of an adult human from whom they could harvest organs for transplant. The pigs are genetically modified to carry the DNA of the intended recipient to avoid rejection. A human clone would actually BE a human being with all the rights and protections of everyone else. Would cloning a human being have the same birth mark locations and same fingerprints? I was laughing a lot about the clone creation of a lot of Hitlers. Hitler himself was nothing special. A lot of other persons could have taken his place in the 1920ies and do the same bad things he did. It was more a matter of social circumstances in the society and around the very person that have created the Hitler we know. In fact he was just another World War I veteran and a not very talented artistic painter.
