good work. definitely counter off the block more and you'll completely kill his momentum like you did at the end. keep posting more!

A good gym will def work u up to something like this, not right away or in 1st 6-12month

You shouldn't spar like this until you are at least 6 months into training... Even then 6 months is very soon. You really don't need to spar hard unless you actually want to take a real amateur fight.

my first sparring session in boxing was months in and was at first just jabs to get a feel of it

Most people dont sparr like they want to kill eachoter, but i must say i think it is important to atleast sometimes sparr hard enough so you really dont want to get hit.

That is really good. We had a guy come in a gym who used to come in regularly to do the workouts, but now just sparring. He would spar hard without telling anyone he was going hard and do this weird gesture with his hands like he was activating his magic power. I didn't get hit, but blocked some hard shots. Another guy he sparred did exactly what you did. He countered him hard, very good timing and used his own forward momentum against him.

Can't reproach the man for admiring his shots there in that final sequence. From the looks of it, he had earned in full that momentary indulgence. On the other hand, this clip was put together and posted out of the man's satisfaction in himself, his own performance sparring--that is, out of pride--much more than any altruistic urge to teach or even just to provide practical insight.

Great defense. Definitely circle more it will set up better angles and you really don’t want to move backwards so much. I mean this primarily goes for kickboxing you’re going to eat a roundhouse but also in a practical sense

Mexican pressure fighters have granite chins. However because their forward momentum and learning forward they have historically been weak to the body. I would focus more on liver shots it will slow him down. He’s not going to go down by a head shot
