@@Muayflyrich dude I think you’re better than me in fundamentals; I most likely have less knowledge than you. the only advance thing I can do is headmovement into counters. Our styles are really different so I have to say is feint with footwork more so that you can make your target miss their attacks thus demotivating them from throwing them, that’s what I try to do

I have been in Muay Thai now for about 6 months now. I began with weekly private lessons because that’s what my schedule can permit. Now that I am off work for the summer, I decided to do more of the group sessions. In the group sessions, I am doing more of the sparring. I’m getting more comfortable with it and have even began posting to my IG. Many of my peers who are on my socials are encouraging; however, I just received a comment from one person saying that myself and sparring partners are going too slow. My internal reaction was to give him an ear full, but knowing what kind of person he is I just let it go. It is refreshing to watch videos like yours that inform individuals that this is a process and is not about dominating your partner. It’s about learning the technique so it can become second nature. Thanks for the videos and keep on pumping.

That’s great to hear man, what’s your Instagram? I’ll follow along 🤝 And as for the comments, you’ll be getting a lot more negative ones as you grow, just handle it the same way. Most people who don’t train are the ones who talk the most sh##. Sparring is all about learning to fight and helping your partner to learn to fight, not to make a highlight film knocking out your partners

you're looking REALLY good for four months bro. REAL good. That fake teep to body hook at 4:52 was beautiful. You said you hate the Teep kick because you get countered. Side teep lands WAY more without getting caught because it's way harder for the other guy to catch and for you to pull out if he catches. idk who your coaches are but they def know what they're doing. Looking forward to watching you grow. kzfaq.infoVLot8HyHuCs

Hey bro nice work!! You look like me 4 months with the same style; front foot light and most weight on the back foot. It’s a good style for teep heavy work so utilize it more. The weight on your back foot + the square stance makes it hard for you to back up. In turn, you can check more from both sides using one leg. One big downside i found early is it makes it easy for them to sweep you if you don’t teep them constantly. Play around with being more patient, countering with the teep. You can condition your partner in expecting your teep which you can learn to feint and do a switch kick. Explore more and work on this back foot style counter style. Then try another front foot forward style for boxing and low kicks
@Muayflyrich
@Muayflyrich 23 күн бұрын
@@christophercortes2914 knew I’d find someone with the same style eventually. Appreciate the tips, I keep getting sweeped so you’re right with that, I’ll start throwing more teeps and eventually try out some other styles

already seen a lot of imporvement since your last video. if i could give any pointers from the vid, be sure to stay balanced at all times. at 0:40, you step in too deep before you kicked leading to your kick being stuffed and you becoming imbalanced after. in thailand balance and technique is very important to coaches. also at 3:26 you could shuffle into range to hit that knee the same way buakaw does. instead of pulling his hands down to catch your knee, post up against them and push them into his face while you step or skip in to lead knee. good shit bro im proud of your progress

good stuff - maybe watch the open mouth breathing (or does it just seem that way?! ) as it really increases the risk of a broken jaw + its kind of a tell...you close the mouth when you start a move - maybe just breath through the mouth out of range. There are as well some mouth guards for mouth breathing. I at one point will have to get my nose checked out as i cant always breath through both nostrils.

Fight how you wanna fight bro, if you get caught a lot while you kick, then kick less, if you get caught a lot when you punch, punch less. Or just get better defense, know what is open when you do each kick, each punch, and know what to do for each counter.
