I’ve always wanted to try the reconyx but never could pull the trigger with the higher price point. I do like the Spartans, seem to be holding up well. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!

I have 4 hyperfire 2 reconyx cams I’ve heard decent reviews on the spartan cameras How do you feel about th personally? Do you like the reconyx cameras better or about the same or is spartan better I’m looking to purchase a few more cameras and the spartan price point seems very intriguing

@@cementpro5752 I also have the Hyperfire 2's. That is a tough question. I like the Hyperfire's a whole lot. Night time picture clarity I may have to give a slight edge to Reconyx, but barely. I also like the app for Reconyx better. Spartan needs to add ways to tag photos for easier sorting. The Golive 1's were rather bulky and their viewing screen design was terrible, but they fixed that on the GoLive 2's apparently and they are smaller. They both have solid battery life. I have never used the Reconyx solar panel system, but I have 2 of the solar kits from Spartan. They are absolutely awesome. I have a Spartan with the solar kit over my business's driveway so it take a ton of pictures, I have not had to change batteries on that camera once. 2.5 years and counting. I actually just ordered some GoLive 2's and GoCams. I am interested to see how they perform compared to the GoLive 1. Overall I would not be afraid to buy some Spartans and see how you like them. Until I become independently wealthy, with the $200 price difference it is a no brainer for me to order more Spartans.

Thanks Jeff I wasn’t aware of that. I’ve run many of them this year and excited to share with y’all the results. I definitely have a new favorite and it’s one I’m going to buy several more b4 another year.

Very frustrating! Don’t blame you at all. I’ve not had any trouble with that camera but I’ve got some other brands that are giving me trouble and it’s absolutely maddening! I may go back to all non cell cameras next year

It’s likely to big to survive winter, I don’t think you will kill it by mowing it but i don’t think it’s going to be super beneficial to you…it’s to big and the deer like young tender growth. ….if it was me I would plant again, and plant it right around your average frost day.
