I remember when TOTK's 2nd trailer came, and we saw the scene of Link and Zelda separated by her falling into the pit... people speculated we could play as both Link and Zelda, where Link was on the overworld and occasionally we'd check in with Zelda in the underground trying to meet up with each other again. I wonder if this game took such theories into consideration for Echoes of Wisdom... or maybe it's just the first part of the trailer where we see Link fighting Ganon before the separation occurred.

The fight against Ganon in the trailer looked like gameplay, so you probably play as Link in the intro.

Maybe it has a light and dark world like A Link to the Past. Link gets sucked into the dark world and you periodically switch between the two characters. What Zelda does in the Light, changes things in the Dark, and vice versa.

You perhaps might play as Zelda, and in parallel play as Link in his dark dimension in order for him to reach the exit, that Zelda is also trying to get to?

It wasn't Crash 5 that was canceled... Read the other dev Tweets that talk about "Project Dragon," and how it was a "cozy survival sandbox crafting multiplayer RPG." Not sure why the one guy brought up Crash 5, but all the other devs who worked on game for 3 years said it was not Crash.

I think they just said that in order to contrast typical Link gameplay to Zelda's. As in, "Back when you played as Link, it was like this, but now it's like this." Wouldn't be surprised if you played as him for a bit in the beginning, though.

I think people are reading way too much into it. What they're really saying is. Usually, as Link, you use swords shields bows and arrows and a slew of other things. But as Zelda which you play as in game, you use magic and wands. They just wrote it badly.

I can't wait to play Driver:Tokyo drift. You'll be drifting up multi level car parks to find that 1 spot overlooking the next section of the map. Smoking out "the competition " by burning rubber in their car yard. Truly innovative game design /S

Microsoft COULD bring back Crash 5 but they don't know how to utilize any of these studios they buy.

I think it would be really cool if Nintendo tried to do something similar to Eastward for the upcoming Zelda. Link could be your fighter/strength while Zelda could help with magic/puzzles. Swapping between them both at any time could be a cool dynamic.

I think the Zelda description is talking about in the beginning of the game you play as Link, then you get captured and continue/finish the adventure as Zelda. I am pretty sure even the trailer suggests this 😎👍

Personally I *DISLIKED* "Crash 4" so much (due to FRUSTRATING platforming/mechanics and forgettable boss fights), so for me, "Crash 5" isn't something I care to see anytime soon. On the other hand, I'm DEFINITELY hoping for a *Spyro 4* game with them hopefully *re-introducing Cynder,* but in a brand new origin story for her that has nothing to do with her original PS2 appearance.

I think that since you need the master sword to seal the evil, they might give link in the last battle to use it like you would use a monster to defend yourself making a tag team like in every game but this time using zelda and having Link as a partner for that last battle.

The very first thing they show in the trailer is Link gameplay. Why is this such a big surprise?

I wholly expect a nice chunk of the game will feature tag team character switching a la donkey kong country and perhaps (with new game+) a whole game co op option. It would be a major missed opportunity not to.

Crash is my favorite franchise of all time, and it has been mishandled so many times for literal decades. The N Sane Trilogy was great, Crash Team Racing was incredible, and Crash 4 was an amazing modernization. Then they crapped the bed with Crash Team Rumble which was never going to succeed, and now they’ve cancelled a Crash 5. Activision sucks.

Toys For Bob pretty much confirmed they are working on a new Spyro game. In posts talking about the game they are working on, they put words that distinctly point to spyro, there's only 1 IP they work on that involve horns, soring in the sky, scales and fire, that's definitely spyro

I've been saying for a while that Crash 4 was not the right direction to take the franchise, Crash suffered in the past for changing the artstyle and the style, and the N.Sane trilogy and nitro fueled did so well because they stuck to what worked and were respectful of the series' roots, so there was no need to fix what wasn't broke and grind the momentum the series had at the time to a halt, I don't think Toys for Bob understands what makes Crash, and Spyro for that matter, resonate with people, since they're the kind of developers that prefer to give a franchise their own spin instead of sticking with what people are familiar with, want and expect.

But can it play samurai legend musashi? That is the only game I've noticed that has not been able to work on that or any emulator. There's massive graphical issues

I'm very excited for the future of GC modding. Swiss could get Ethernet integration and update on the fly instead of removing the SD card. Also, we could very well see many multiplayer games using private servers and browsers.

Yeah, what if you play as both Zelda and Link but you use one or the other to move objects, open doors or other objectives to reflect the others world.

So this is just me guessing for fun but what if it was like the boss fights are collaborative where Zelda and Link are both fighting these entities from two different sides of these rifts and you got a kind of solve a puzzle as Zelda so then you switch to Link who can now fight them now that they're vulnerable.

I took it as them comparing previous games and how they are played with Link and fought with sword and arrows and how this one will be played differently. It was very poorly written, I think people may be reading too much into this

My guess is you play as Zelda 90+% of the time. A section in the beginning leading up to Zelda taking over and then some sort of back and forth at the end (probably using both for puzzle solving) leading to the final boss
