my chocolate lab just got spayed and the surgery went wrong. not only was the dr an idiot and didnt say anything they left her overnight bleeding out. she was bleeding out all the way until I transfered her 1 hour away to a emergency hospital. there her intestines fell out and she had another surgery. she had to stay 24hrs and we are going to get her today. please send prayers and good vibes because my baby needs it ... I can't live without her 😢

I REALLY appreciate this video! My new puppy is 6 months and was nurtured today. We had to have this done at the shelter where we adopted him. I would’ve preferred our personal veterinarian to do this! Unfortunately, they didn’t give me much information and I’m slightly stressed to say the least. When we adopted him 2 weeks ago he was sick and malnourished. They don’t seem like they take very good care of the animals. I’m happy to report he’s gained 4 pounds and is no longer sick and on antibiotics. Thank you for the great information!!

Mine was neutered 2 days ago. The thing I found funny was they asked if we wanted to get him tattooed. I declined. It's pretty apparent his powdered donuts are gone.

My dog dot fixed this morning and he’s eating and he seems fine/happy but I bought a cushioned cone which seems not to be working! I guess I’ll go get a plastic one first thing tomorrow. Thanks for doing this video. It was very informative and I wish I saw it after my puppy got fixed. He got neutered 2 weeks ago and we put a cone on him and limited his activities . So yesterday I took him in to get stitches removed and found out he removed his on his own. My vet had 3 layers sutured and two healed but one didn't and she had to re-stitch one layer. Wow I guess we should have seen this before! Anyway now it's another two weeks of the cone (a larger1 this time ) and all the fun the poor guy has to deal with the cone. So again thank you for the video!

Thanks for the video. My little dog (12lbs) was attacked by two stray Pit Bulls on 5-8-2022. Their bites crushed/punctured his abdomen and chest wall which required major surgery. He's in recovery right now but is still in critical condition. He's 14yo.

I know this old post. May 28/24 my mini dachshund at 1 week she is 10 pounds. Second night was her worst and I had gave pain meds only allowed 6 mg dermaxx not from this vet I’m in another state. Anyway. I just comforted her as much as I could. Also I purchased a surgery suit. She didn’t need the cone but every dog is differnt. I’m so happy we are a week out she’s feeling better and hard to keep up with her wanting to play.

Don't do anything drastic! I felt like immediately taking my Bailey's cone off after surgery. I'm glad I did some research and didn't do that. I gave her plenty of attention and scratches, rubbs on her face. She is recovering well now.

I heard that you had to keep your spayed dog in the kennel all day except for going potty and that’s it, for about 10 days, then you’re allowed to walk your dog on short walks but then keep them kenneled afterwards until the 14th day, then they don’t have to be kenneled anymore. Is this true? We adopted a dog last month and today she’s getting spayed. She has bad separation anxiety and I’m worried she’ll be scratching up the kennel and freaking out to the point it will ruin her incisions instead. I can keep her on my bed and she will be fine if that’s an option. If not, hey maybe in those 14 days she’ll be completely kennel trained I guess.

Question I got my 6 month old puppy fix and he have been leaking this creaming looking fluid from his second incision, because only one testicle drop it’s been 3 days after his surgery he is still eating good drinking water, peeing and pooping normal I just worry very much. I called the veterinarian and they say it was OK. Used to keep eye on it and clean it as long as no bleeding. He’s gonna be fine but I believe this shouldn’t be happening.😅
