Same here. I have roots in both Samoas and therefore root for both. To be honest however, Am Samoa outdid Independent Samoa because they brought energy with their vigorous and fast movements; whereas the other Samoa used teachers that are usually middle aged and don’t move as fast. Am Samoa disappoints in the instrument department as, instead of using pate and the fala, they use drums and a trash can. Seriously, a trash can. That’s embarrassing.

@@theephraimite its not a disappointment... us Manu'a ppl use trash gallon bins as instruments if you have family in Manu'a than you'll understand... no shame in using it because its part of our tradition.

@@theephraimite i dont see why using a trash can is embarrassing. even if they do lack in the instrument department, they are great at being resourceful plus they probably prefer using the trash can, as it brings in way more sound effect. if you rep both Independent Samoa and American Samoa, why point out what they lack?
