Michael & Ali, you have brought me so much joy. I have spine issues, had 4 surgeries & 5 & 6 coming in July. Needless to say, I get depressed very often. I try not to but it happens. I have watched your Hold My Hand video every day since I first found it. A lot of days I watch it several times during the day. It is just so funny, and WHO can listen to this song without wanting to move. You 2 have brought my spirits up so much, and I thank you for that. I’ve shown almost everyone I know, your video, and they all love it too. There are other videos out there using Hold My Hand, but they can’t come anywhere near yours. You 2 are the MASTERPIECE! Ali, I must say you are a beautiful young woman, and you’ve got the moves. Michael, you look so different in the video. You are so much more handsome when you’re not in the video. It was Ali who cought my attention on you tube who mimed and danced that Jess Glynne song so well, Jess Glynne needs some dance lessons from Ali, and i can see that Ali gets her beauty from her mother. and dads got a great sense of fun. You show all the benefits of having a strong supportive family around you, along with a understanding and forgiving atmospere can benefit every member of the family, you give us all great hope for the future. And again: 1000 tak! One fascinating fact about the Danish culture: One of my students in my Danish class once said, rather poignantly, "You can never say thank you, too much, while visiting Denmark! To a Dane (good travel tip!): There is "Tak!", "Mange tak!", "1000 tak!"... And if somebody thanks you for something, you've got to acknowledge that, too in a quite specific way!" ...Danes are not necessarily flexible, like many Americans. I know, because I took the leap! Crossed over the ocean and vast continent and settled with the Love of MY Life here in San Diego! Example from my chilhood: My bedroom was directly across from that of my parents. And for years, I slept with my door open. It would go something like this EVERY night, when we were finally al in bed: Me: Go' Nat! My parents: Go' Nat! Me: Sov godt! My parents: Sov Godt! Me: Drøm godt! My parents: Drøm godt! Me: Tak! My parents: Selv tak! Me: Je'be'r! Etc. Etc. Especially, since my last two replies could be introjected after each of their responses... Oh boy! My parents--bless their heart--must have had SO much patience, trying to talk this very talkative child to sleep ;) With just the right mix of a few encouraging replies ;)
