I hold a special love for gorillas. Especially mountain gorillas. I am low income and disabled thus I appreciate video and narrative like this so very much.

That they're critically endangered is heartbreaking. Props to everyone working to stave off the sixth great extinction. (And slow down the Doomsday Clock while we're at it.) #savetheplanet ❤

Lol zoo gorillas are born dumb unfortunately. They’re pet’s who live unnatural from birth and bred to entertain the visitors instead of living in a protected nature reserve where they belong, sad life.

Gorillas can't speak. I thought we learned that lesson from the Koko/Francine Patterson scandal. They have no ability to communicate any thing at all with humans. Your family dog can understand and exchange more information than any gorilla.

@@dr.jamesolack8504 Ape communication research has been around since the 1930s. Nearly all of it has been discredited. The issue being selective interpretation. No new studies in the field have been launched in years. It's an embarrassment to the scientific community.

@@dr.jamesolack8504 Gordon is right in a way. They're not actually talking or communicating. These are habituated gorillas. You'd likely never encounter a truly wild gorilla this close up as they'll just run away. You can't just go up to a wild gorilla and make this noise and they'll understand. These rangers have spent 2-3 years sitting with them and before they get used to humans. The noises are just sounds that they observed with the gorillas to give them an additional sense of comfort. They meet these rangers almost every day.
