my favorite level of Spear Of Destiny, what's good about your walkthroughs is that you're the only one on KZfaq who finishes them at 100 pct and who explains your progress.

What I do like about this level is the one specific detail with the 2 Cargo's and the barrel's are there for 2 things, supplies & getting in your way! 😃That mutant at the exit oh my's! 😨I do get that secrets can be kinda bad at times here, but honestly I still do like this level just for the details and trickiness in some battles. So overall despite some problems with secrets & backtracking, I think this level is really good regardless. Very well played indeed BMD! Another fantastic video well done! 😄

"They already coming to the door" it's because you didn't waited for the door to closed, when they started to shoot at you from outside of the castle.

Some of these secret walls are like a combination lock: you have to push them in the correct order, otherwise you're locked out of the secret area.

0:48 The map kinda reminds me of those mazes you get at fast food places in kids meals. 😄 Strange there's so many meals on the outside of the castle, maybe they got food delivered and the delivery person didn't want to go inside, I don't blame them!😟 8:24 That's a lot of helmets, be careful, someone could trip! 10:54 (Sniff) Fresh air!😀 Wait, if we're on floor 11, are we still at ground level for the trucks?🤔 Fantastic video BMD, I still don't know how you remember where all those secrets are and how to unlock them, well done, great job. 🙂💛

I had the same thought as you, trucks at floor 11 :P I guess this castle was built upon a big mountain and Nazi may have built a road for the trucks to get up to higher floors and ship at them. Weird but possible :)

I was expecting trites to come out of those square holes at the bottom of walls. Can't decide if I'm disappointed or relieved.

Yes! The only level that actually looks like a castle from the map itself. Glad you appreciate this level. I sure did when i played it when it first came out. Very good Walkthrough. Not many doing this in 2024. Dosgamert does alot of old DOS games back in the day including Wolf3d mods. Keep it up BMD. Thanks for these Spear of Destiny videos. For those who appreciate it.

Wow, after all coments I read here I guess I will just "flog a dead horse" (we have a similar saying in Portuguese which is "rain in the wet"), LOL. But anyway, this floor is awesome. Good gameplay, challenging areas and tricky secrets that can really make you stuck if you don't move the right walls as well explained here by BigMacDavis. It is indeed a fresh air before the following floors.

Nice walkthrough, as always! Wow, that looks like an awesome big castle from the map! 2:26, it's time for some Sokoban it seems! 10:20, I wonder why they put the portraits behind the columns instead of between them - I thought the guy was popular around those parts? 19:50, it's a trap! 20:25, I love that comfort - knowing me, I'd probably check it again right before exiting the map...

I liked this map; exploration-heavy with some intense fighting, and that loading bay was a really cool detail. And above all, I really hope you and Sam are recovering and feeling better. It's so nice to have you back!

Just like you said, this map is a piece of art! I like everything about this level, from wall textures to music, the outside trucks to secrets and design conception to the ominous mutant in the elevator, foreshadowing what's to come. My favourite SOD map which has some similarities with my favourite Wolf3D map, E6M5. There if you run to the end, you can get a big battle. Try the same with this one in the same wall textured long beginning area until you reach the first door, it will be tricky but fun! Maybe an extra video?! Also, I love to snipe the last swarm of enemies in the last room from the outside area secret with all the resources. So yeah, top notch level design: this map shows how much a good designer can get out from a simple game like this.

I love this level. It's big but excellently designed. My brother and I affectionately call it "The Apple", because we felt like worms eating it from the inside out, haha. XD Here's a fun anecdote. Back when I first played the level, I was unsure on how to reach the southeast corner of the apple, I looped the outside area many times looking for an entrance or secret, and only later in a second playthrough I discovered that it was accessed from the starter maze. I almost thought that it was an intentionally inaccessible spot like I thought about that part in the Pyramid of the Moons in Keen 4 that was beneath the top of the final area (you know the part, it's the one with a yellow slug and an extra life), which BTW I hadn't learned how to access until freaking *2009* (!!!) The level's design even reminded me of several Chip's Challenge levels , which have similar compositions (like the Grail level, which I think is the 54th)

Yes you can, because you cannot move the wall again. I tried it once and did get stuck, good that I saved the game before, LOL.

Hiding the silver key in a 3 stacked secret like that was a dick move. Also, I don't like how inconsistent it is when guards can or can't hear you firing your weapon. Seems very arbitrary when they can hear you and when they can't. Like in the first room when they can't hear you yet there's other areas where they can hear you through doors. Idunno, just an observation. 14:50 seriously? How was anyone able to find these secrets back in the day when there was literally no hints whatsoever? You would have to hump every single pixel in order to find every secret. Thankfully they corrected this in DooM but good Lord.

This is the second biggest map in the game and also the 2nd most amount of secrets in the game. Well if this map is 2nd biggest, then What's the biggest?! Well, let's just say we haven't made it to it yet but its not very far, infact we may see it in the next 2 videos of Spear of Destiny.

This one I think can take a lot of patience especially with all the small hallways. Kinda reminds me of Episode 6 Floor 1. This map did actually inspire one of my custom maps I made years ago. Check it out if you get a chance! Also I love how there’s a mutant in the elevator it’s like an awakening saying THEY’RE BACK!!! 😂😂😂 I forgot to mention I also liked the way you say “thank you sweetness” to the dogs.
