@@georgievarghese3715 actually it was a mumbai commisioner in some year may be 2003 or 04 not sure who during his retirement ceremony was facing media questions n when he was asked about his experiences he said " i would love to meet mon singh in person n ask him how he actually got it done single handedly " then u know our film industry guys they dont waste any time on new themes n got this idea about making a movie on it. His words only made the case more highlighted n limelight n that was an era when internet was slowly spreading in india n people started searching about it on wiki n search browsers n things like that. Or else when it happened back in 1987 it was only doordarshan n a few dailies which printed it on front page n they almost forgot it. N most of the people got to know about it only after this movie. U can verify n confirm about the commisioners name n year of retirement n also let me know, am kinda lazy 👍
