Share ko muna yung history ng recipe ko..😅 One day I craved for buko tart, and napakahirap bumili since hindi siya basta binebenta lang kung saan gaya ng ibang breads or cakes.. palagi ako naghihintay na may pumunta sa laguna para makakain ng buko pie, tapos di naman palaging napagbibigyan ang request.. So I decided to try and make my own para makakain anytime I want..
Napakadami pong nasayang na ingredients bago ko to naachieve, as in literal na pagkabake ng madami di talaga mapakinabangan! Yung crust napakapanget ng texture, mga sampung ulit bago ko to naperfect! Nakakaloka! Yung filling naman kung hindi napakalabnaw, kala mo naman paste na sa sobrang lapot (which is hindi ko preferred personally) so nakailang ulit pako nito bago ko din naperfect at nakuha ang gusto kong lasa at consistency! Napakamahal pa ng buko! Hahaha!!
So as a way of helping others, I am sharing my fool proof and no umay factor recipe... Perfect po ito sa mga taong di mahilig sa matatamis kasi saktong sakto lang po ang tamis at siguradong madaming laman na buko kaya di ka talaga madidismaya!☺️ even po yung crust ay masarap so wala talagang tapon.

⭐TIPS AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS⭐
✅Butter
• You can use salted or unsalted butter, but if you use salted butter, kindly omit the salt in the recipe.
• You may use margarine or butter compound if you prefer, but there might be a slight difference in the outcome.
✅Milk
• You can use fresh milk or evaporated milk.
✅Coconut
• Use thick coconut meat only for this recipe.
✅Cornstarch
• You may use flour instead of cornstarch but you need to double the amount.
✅Citrus
• You may use any types of citrus (lemon, calamansi, lime, orange etc.).
✅Sugar
• You may add sugar if you have a sweet tooth, because this recipe is not too sweet.
✅Vanilla
• You may omit vanilla if you don’t have one, but putting vanilla adds flavor.
✅Flour
• Only use All Purpose Flour for this recipe.

✅Baking time
• The sides doesn’t need to be brown, just slightly golden brown.
✅Pan
• You may use your desired pan, any shape will do.
✅Yield
• It will depend on the size you prefer, I was able to make 12 tarts from recipe.
✅Oven
• Make sure that your temperature is set, lower temperature leads to uncooked crust.
