Combat is my favorite part of Wuthering Waves, so I wanted to showcase some of these awesome character mechanics and combos more in depth to those who are newer to the game. In addition to these, most of the characters also have more advanced combos involving character swaps.

some additions to Sanhua. you can hold her charge attack during a Plunge attack and thus charge it right after a plunge. you can slide of her Intro skills glacier right at the moment of swapping in. you can jump out of her DPS echo that Jumps 3x at the last jump to enter a Plunge attack where you can utilie her charge attack during the fall. She can juggle enemies up in the air by spamming her charge attack (works against normal small enemies and the Boss Crownless) Other than that good video :D

For Rover, you actually don't have to pause after the 3rd BA, you can instead Hold or Heavy Attack or Charged Attack (whatever you call it) and it will immediately do the same thing. It is faster and easier that way than having to wait briefly and pay attention to the indicator. Sure it doesn't really matter if you have muscle memory built up for that but if not, like I said, you can simple do 3 basic and hold/heavy.

Thanks for all the great tips and observations! Really helpful to get this great information on the free characters. The Danjin combos were also really useful, and her blood sword is a neat visual touch I hadn't noticed which makes sense for spending her HP Would also love to see Jianxin in the future totally for no particular reason related to my account

Thanks for all the hard work and the really helpful tips on the character mechanics! I was just mostly dodging and clicking random skills and ultimates, without really thinking, and maybe some fights took a lot longer than it should have, this will definitely help improve my combat playstyle

Fantastic video! One thing I've noticed is that using Ling Yang Ult into lion dance stance seems to extend the duration that the stance is active for.

Watched a vid a while ago utilizing rovers enhanced skill (forte skill) they call it swap back, it really is cool looking as it works to any characters with two part attacks, kinda hard to describe but it basically looks like you're playing all 3 characters at the same time

You can also start Danjin's combo skill with E, basic, basic, E, E, E. This also applies to her debuff move

yeah, I have found her best chain to be skill basic skill skill basic basic basic skill skill skill charged basic to get her charge up to full with debuff and full cycle combo, right out of the charge basic, you can reset the combo with skill and repeat, or use ultimate then refresh team buffs

Only thing you missed that I know of is that if you fill lingyangs bar with his ulti it doubles the amount of time he has in his dance.

One of things that you should do a vid on is what moves can be used to switch tech, or double switch tech. I think it will be the criteria for what high level players term as a "good" character going forward. Encore is insane for this as she allows double switch attacks before returning to her to finish her combo. No testing yet on if it activates on switch effects because if your fast enough the character never actually fades off the batttlefield and its hard to test it in the live game.

Great guide. I have just one question, does Yinlin do more damage if her teammates trigger her coordinated attacks or is it the same if she does it ? I'm thinking of using her as main dps but I'm not sure how much you lose by doing that.

You should do the same thing (hidden movesets) when ZZZ came out on global too, they have those as well. That is, if you'll play ZZZ when it released to begin with.

Only today I noticed that when you are in combat without locking on target (that "soft lock" when attacking) and if you are holding direction keys, it will switch target towards the direction you are holding (so for example holding D while attacking an enemy infront and if there is an enemy to your right, it will "soft lock" onto that target). This was really puzzling for me and was driving me crazy as to why my melee characters suddenly decided to attack nothing when enemy was just infront of me. Is this what players mean when they say targeting is sometimes weird? I personally am holding direction keys during combat so I can control which way I dash / dodge.

Fun fact: Danjin's base skill will count as a basic if you start your chain with it, thats means you can skill basic skill skill to really quickly apply her dmg amp and because of that extra initial skill, you get her to the line for her max charge skill basic skill skill basic basic basic skill skill skill charged basic danjin working hard for this but its so satisfying. If you haven't unlocked her double skill trace, use skill basic skill skill basic basic skill skill charged then the above combo right after it

i love danjin and was using her as a main dps for the first day, but since i really really suck at dodging her berserker playstyle isn't really working all that well for me. i'll keep trying to improve, but i just pulled Encore, so i might just pivot off of Danjin. Will see.

DANJIN ENJOYERS: Skip Basic 1 in your combo by starting with Skill 1 instead to speed up your Forte Gauge buildup time!!! Standard B(1,2)-->S(1,2) and B(1,2,3)-->S(1,2,3) could instead be S1,B2-->S(1,2) and S1,B2,B3-->S(1,2,3)
