Special Counsel Jack Smith has been dealt a significant blow in his election interference indictment against Donald Trump, who is claiming presidential immunity in the case. Supreme Court Justices have agreed to hear oral arguments about the immunity claim in April.

Otherwise, every future President, and even remaining past Presidents could be liable for both criminal cases and civil suits for acts done while in Office as President. Removing presidential immunity after leaving office would in effect hamstring any future president from making policy or law in good faith for the country if at a latter time in the future those policies and laws prove detrimental to the people or country and open the president to possible charges.

The question regarding immunity and the extent of it is clearer without the over "shadow effect" of the "official acts" question which was purposely inserted for purpose of further scrutiny with a undermining effect that would radically effect the first question much of what you would come to expect from a radical.
