There is *absolutely no reason* to demolish the house while the investigation and trial is happening. They can do it afterwards.

IF - I were on the jury, I would most definitely, want to physically walk through the house. To see with MY OWN EYES, and also to gain the understanding of how the attorneys lay out the story.

What a horrific tragedy! The loved ones of Ethan, Xana, Madison and Kaylee must be going through the most unimaginable and excruciatingly painful hell. I also feel bad for the Kohberger family. Legally speaking, I can not understand how destroying the crime scene before the trial could even be an option. These precious souls and their loved ones deserve justice. Anything that could possibly compromise the case should not even be considered. Of course people seeing the house is traumatic. However, these victims must come first.

Can you say mistrial or appeal. This is so ridiculous. All of these families deserve justice and the prosecution is gonna take it away from them. They are tearing down the crime scene and making everything easier for the defense. Also, I think that destroying the house could make everything that was in it inadmissible. No DNA, no case. So so sad. I cannot imagine how you go about cleaning and emptying a house like this where such a horrific crime happened. I'm sure everyone living in the area wants the house gone. That happens a lot like in the case of the house of Ariel Castro where he held Amanda Berry, Gina Dejesus and Michelle Knight. I can also see wanting to keep it to give the jury a chance to walk through the house to understand the scene. One of the jurors of the Alex Murdaugh trial said it was really a turning point for him because he saw how high the threshold was for the door of the feed room. It told him the second weird shot to Paul Murdaugh could have come from Alex tripping backwards over the threshold. That in itself may have been crucial to the case.

The building that the Parkland School shootings happened in was kept as is for years so that the jury could eventually view it. Boarded up and gated off from the rest of the high school for 5 years until trial. Last I heard the building is still up and the trial is over. I don’t see the rush to demolish the house if it could potentially harm the case.

Put an automatic stay on the property, I'm sure the courts attorney will petition for that. With automatic stay, they can't demolish the home until the stay is lifted.

It is about time we give these criminals to God to deal with. Some of these crimes are horrible. Death penalty needs to be brought back and carried out in a faster time than thirty years later!

I think they should wait until he is convicted. The Murdaugh case is the best example of that. PLUS, the layout of this house is so weird. First of all, I would have been very upset to have others pack up my child’s belongings. Understand that they looked through their personal items for clues, but to continue packing up their possessions and claim them at another site…doesn’t sit right with me. I admit that I could have misunderstood the purposed procedure. Secondly, the house should remain until after the trial. Again, something is not right with this either.

Weird as the investigation goes on that they might have missed something and they might want to go back and look for other evidence.

This home should not be torn down until after the trial is over. I’ve seen homes be gone into 20 years later, abandoned trailers, floor boards lifted, paint removed to solve cold cases after a tip off or a renewal of a detective searching for answers from families. This also will absolutely help the defense as they already tried to tear it down before they even had an arrest and the atty in PA had to have the demolish stopped before Bryan was extradited. Them having no access to this home, the jury, should also be the #1 reason the home stands. The families don’t want the home tore down til after the trial either.

We need a jury to put him away but it must be fair and this channel wants clicks instead of shutting up like the court has to keep info for court. So find another topic. As for demolition and removing the ability for the jurors to visit the property: There are services available, used by realtors that allow 360° viewing walk through of houses. This should be done before anything is removed.

If they feel the house won't require a walk through, it makes me feel as if the evidence they have found and not made public, is so incriminating that they feel it may not be necessary.

Since Idaho is now awaiting the governor's signature to make a firing squad a legal means for the death penalty next they should consider getting a guillotine perhaps it will scare criminals to reconsider their actions beforehand. But estimating the cost to build a firing squad at $750,000 should be a crime within itself.

Most juries don’t actually go to the crime scene and they really don’t need to. They don’t need to be inside the house to determine his guilt or innocence. But I don’t think they should be destroying the crime scene before trial just from an evidentiary standpoint. I don’t like opening the door to the defence coming up with some theory down the road and then saying they’re at a disadvantage because there’s evidence that’s been destroyed.

Please preserve the house until after the trial, just in case it’s needed during the trial. We can’t bring the victims back. Neither will it be possible to revisit the crime scene if it’s later discovered that new information deems it necessary for jurors to visit the house. Is the university privy to information that the public isn’t? In either case the university could erect a fence/wall or put up a pesticide tent around the entire house/property to obscure the view of the house from prying eyes. My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones 💔🙏

I know a lot of folks hate the death penalty. but i honestly think its wonderful. While we have some people in prison who can certainly be redeemed. We also have ones who shouldnt get to live another minute. This was four innocent young souls, minding their own business, going home to go to bed. so brutal that the own cops on scene said they were horrified.. Some people do not deserve redemption. Send him straight to hell where he belongs.

Demolishing the house before the trial is like destroying evidence. Keep it up so prosecution or defense can do a jury walk through. What’s the rush? Money. The University wants it gone and forgotten so their admission numbers aren’t affected. This is such a tragic event, the jury needs to see all the evidence so the right person is sentenced.

Watching them bring their stuff from that house is devastating. Justnimaging them packing their suitcases to go back to school. So excited and full of hope and life. It will never make sense to me why and how that man could have done this. I know bad things happen everyday but it just feels so senseless. I have a daughter away at school, in a house with her friends where they live their young lives. Heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for their families. It haunts me thinking about what Mr. Gonzales said about sending your kid off to school. You never expect to get them back like this. All those dreams you have for your children even before they were born and it gets taken away for no reason.

If it has been “released to the “university “ it’s deemed no longer a crime scene- I completely disagree- especially about jurors being able to go there and hear what Dylan was hearing ( or apparently not hearing) she needs to go under lie detector at minimum but

Bottom line the house needs to stand so the jury can absolutely walk through and hear the acoustics from Dylan’s room, Bethany’s room, Xana’s room, & where the girls were sleeping. The fact the house has a very odd floor plan, & the prosecutors claiming he was watching them from the back through woods. The jury needs to see and hear all they can to make a final decision. It’s imperative the Jury, Prosecutors, & Defense team should be entitled to have access to until the trial is over. The reality is most of the students that were at the college won’t be returning as they go for a couple years and move on & either graduate and continue their education at other college campuses so there’s no reason to worry about the actual students at the campus.

If the case goes to a jury trial, it`s best to let the house stay for jurors to view the crime scene. imo Maybe they want this case to disappear.

It may be beneficial to make public all the information about what happens if you are an accused killer. It may not be as glorious somebody thinking about killing somebody would imagine, so hopefully this will eliminate a few murders even if it's one it's worth getting all the information out there.

Actually The public defender halted the cleaning of the crime scene not the removal of the mattresses and furniture. The furniture was taken to somewhere FOR the defense to comb over.

The University shouldn't have any control over an off campus house. The owners who donated the house to the University should be looked into. I hope the Defense files a motion to preserve the house until trial is over. I also hope the Defense goes back to the 2 original officers on scene, Smith & Nunes bodycams.....see if that sheath made an appearance on those bodycams. I'll bet it didn't. 👀

I would not need to see this house as a Juror. The evidence is enough. I also don't think a perfectly good house worth thousands of dollars should be torn down because people died in it. People die all the time in all sorts of places. We don't tear down the buildings, destroy the cars, and demolish their workplaces, do we? It has nothing to do with respect, just a waste of resources. Clean up the house and fill it with people again. Put a memorial garden some distance from it, and put a fence around the property so people can live there in peace. Too much drama about this house.

I'm watching from a different country and I feel a sadness that they would want to demolish the house before the case has gone to trial. There is nothing more haunting than a jury visiting a crime scene. It is essential that they keep the house until the need for the jury visitation is either denied or agreed to. If there is any doubt in the the minds of the jury members, the visit could secure their decision. I cannot imagine the loss of these kids. What happened to the doggie? My heart is broken for these kids, so young and so unnecessary. A memorial at the address would be a good idea.

I just hope with all this media coverage, we're not pursuing entertainment at the expense of justice. The media has really sensationalized this case and I worry that Kohberger's defense team will argue that the media has made it impossible for him to get a fair trial. It would be a horrible thing if the jury came back deadlocked and he went free. The defense only has to cast enough doubt on the investigation to convince one juror, and media sensationalism might be a good argument.

I hope that the parents of the victims were given the opportunity, if they desired, to visit the house where their child died. A step in grieving and closure. I know if it had been my child, I would need it despite how difficult it would be .

In some of the Elantra car footage the vehicle appears to be silver, not white, and has a slightly different body style to Kohberger's. The fact Kohberger's cell pinged 12 times within a 7-month period, to me, seems insignificant. Pings on cell phones commonly occur within a 25-mile radius. Plus, with applications and software, cell phones do things on their own, are easily hacked and are not a good source of proof. Kohberger lived 8 miles from the crime scene. I live in a city where I travel all the time, many miles from where I live and so do millions of other people. I want to know more about that delivery driver who delivered the food and the driver who dropped the 2 girls off after the food truck. Existing video, within hours of the murder, it is reported, of the two girls walking with the hoodie guy down the street after the bar wherein, hoodie guy says in a very concerned and sternly caring voice, "They're gonna get you for this, Maddie, wherever you go." His sentence starts out loud and clear, but the end of the sentence is quieter and almost sounds like "They're gonna get you for this, Maddie (very clear), when you get home (not as clear)." This clearly sounds like more than one killer after these girls because hoodie guy says "they" and where I went to school "They" means "Plural, More Than One." Oh, and----when Maddie shouts angrily at Kaylee "What did you say to Adam?" to which Kaylee replies, "I told Adam everything." That means Adam probably knows everything. Court documents and testimony will reveal much more. A white truck curiously passes slowly by during this video of the street conversation and that truck appears to start to turn around. Just check out the police cam videos of when police were called to the house, multiple times. Why didn't the police shut that house down? If the roommates who survived heard screams, if they were calling the other roommates on their cell phones and the dying victims were not answering, why not call the police then? You called to see if they're all right in their bedroom. Not one of them answers. So, do you call the police or go to bed? Why not just step outside the room and walk a few feet to check on them if you didn't feel the sound was scary or threatening enough to call the police? Then why DID you feel it was necessary to call everyone in the house to see if they're answering. That, alone, would concern me and I would barricade my door and call the police. So, obviously, she heard blood curdling screams, because she states she was scared. So which is it? Was she scared or not? Then, she says she saw some guy dressed in dark clothes and a mask and she recognized them just by 2 eyebrows? And then----no one's answering their phone, so she decides to catch beauty sleep and decide to never call the police? Now, all of us have some good ideas on why this might be. Nov 12-13, 2022 was a Saturday/Sunday: Big weekend Sat party night into wee hours of Sun Nov 13, all before Thanksgiving and finals. Yet, neighbors videotaped on news interviews stated the house seemed particularly quiet that night. AND--the hoodie guy definitely sounds concerned for the girls, referencing a threat on the video and Ethan is protectively spending the night and Kaylee is staying the night, even though she had moved out. Evidence shows there was always an ongoing party at this house, even when the roommates were not there, there were groups of people partying at this house location. See all of the various police footage, of all the previous police visits to this house. Why was the owner never cited and now that same homeowner suddenly just wants to hurriedly donate that house away? Saturday night, after the bar, there would typically be an after party, especially right before Thanksgiving holiday. But not on this particular night before Thanksgiving? Does the defense think those roommates know more...? Of course they do.

What's the rush to demolish the home? Who's pushing this timeline? Since the home has been donated to the university, is the university concerned about the ongoing expenses related to the home?
