To easily memorize the intervation of the muscles use this mneumonic: SO4 LR6 AO3 (superior oblique - NC IV, lateral rectus - NC VI, all others - NC III)

I'm using this video for my ophthalmology tech training. I'll never ever use the mass of knowledge this video shows since the ophthalmologists probably won't let me go over anatomy to the patient, BUT I'll be using this for my certifications.

We could possibly put them in post production, but always check closed captioning as we try to CC most of the videos!
@dannichols6261
@dannichols6261 2 жыл бұрын
@@NinjaNerdOfficial Your CC are very well appreciated, but they're not always quite correct. At 1:38, CC says 'lacrimal uncle', and it is the lacrimal CARUNCLE (which IS how you pronounced it, just that for spelling, the CC is off, which is probably because the CC is auto-generated, rather than from written script).

hey I didn't really understand where the outer pigment layer of the retina is...is it anterior to the inner neuronal layer or over the inner neuronal layer?
@dannichols6261
@dannichols6261 2 жыл бұрын
He really didn't explain this part very clearly. The wall of the eye can be described as being in LAYERS. From the outside of the eye, inward, the layers are: Sclera, Choroid, Retina. The retina is therefore the INNERMOST part of the layers of the wall of the eye, the part that light hits. The PIGMENTED part of the retina is UNDER the neural retina, and therefore lies between the neural part of the retina and the choroid.

@dannichols6261
@dannichols6261 2 жыл бұрын
11:11 The eye can be said to be divided into two 'Segments', with respect to the nature of the material filling the eye in those segments, and those segments are called the Anterior Segment, and the Posterior Segment. Those are the segments which respectively are filled with the Aqueous Humor (Anterior Segment), and the Vitreous Humor (Posterior Segment). Aqueous Humor is watery, Vitreous Humor is gelatinous or 'gel-like'. And then... The ANTERIOR SEGMENT is SUB-DIVIDED into the Anterior CHAMBER, and the Posterior CHAMBER, which are separated by the IRIS. Both of these CHAMBERS are filled with the AQUEOUS Humor.

First you say that the "inferior oblique"eye muscle pulls the eyeball, superior and lateral movement.. Then you say at 7:20 minute that the superior oblique muscle puls the eyemuscle inferior and laterally.. So both pul the eye to the outer sides... I think that's not possible because both muscle pull, one from below and the othe from above to the same side ! ????
