GM actually really built good trucks back in this era. One might say even better than today's versions.

Make no mistake, the GMT-800 Escalade/Yukon/Tahoe was the HIGH watermark for the GM full-size SUVs. It is of no mistake why you still see so many of these on the road with 200-300K miles on them. They are true survivors. They had the me most user-friendly interior w/ SUPER comfy seats. That's to say nothing of the LS-based V8s that powered them, with no AFM/DFM crap on them. The '07-'14s are nice, no doubt, but the '02-'06 models were truly remarkable in their reliability and quality.

That's unique. Any 2000-06 Full size GM Truck and SUV was the best.

The GMT800 platform is the best GM ever made. I bought my first one last year, a 2001 Yukon XL with 209k from a Ford dealer for 1899$ out the door. It had normal rust being an Ohio truck but it was loaded, everything worked and I never had one single issue with it. I did brakes front and back and shocks front and rear, new tires just normal wear items. I loved it to death. I traded it for a 6 speed manual Acura tl and then I had my second colon surgery. My wife couldn't drive stick and she blew a brake line on her car, so I traded the acura for an 04 Suburban loaded and I loved it to death. But we didn't really need a big vehicle so I got rid of it. And I'm kicking myself for it everyday because you just can't beat the GMT800 platform.

Sweet truck. Really appreciate this channel Ant. My buddies mom bought a 2003 EXT in the rare 'Out of the Blue' color. Man, we really appreciated when we could borrow it. I had a brown on plush tan 83 Coupe Brogham on hydraulics w/ an E@G sim-con top and a white on red 84 Coupe on Vogues It's amazing what you could get for $3500-4500 in the late 90s early 2000s. Peace bro!

One thing I never understood about american luxury vehicles is that they would use real wood for the steering wheel but plastic imitation wood everywhere else, even on the highest trim levels.

40 minutes and loved every bit of it...soothing, warm fuzzies. Anthony, my only regret in my recent purchase of 00 Cartier L 77k is that it did not come from you! The other slap in the face is now I'd get a plate and t shirt! lol I really love this Escalade. Quit tempting me! Going to HHI in September...this is what I need! my LTC is just so big and for show...This is practical.

My Escalade is a 2009, I am the 4th owner, but the car only has 80,000 miles, no rust mechanically fine, been 7months since I bought it and haven’t had to put any money into it accept for a $5 fuse and gas.

It's amazing that the interior is identical except the wood covers on cup holders and the gauges and radio to my 2003 yukon Denali XL same color. Still a nice Escanali!

The chrome around the clusters used to be unique to the platinums in 04 but starting 05 and into 06 all escalade models came with the chrome rings

Unfortunately too many people gave up hope owning those massive V8 vehicles….. the curent gas ⛽️ prices nowadays keep people discouraged toward V8 !

I wish GM will still make upgrade on navigational map updates for 2022 the newest version is 2013 or 2012

Bought a 2005 a couple of months ago, 1 owner garage kept in excellent condition , got more whistles and bells than I know what to do with. The 6L engine is a real troupers….may not get the best fuel economy, it’ll hang in there for a long time. Love this era, well built and thought out. I can’t believe I’m driving a 17 year car ( not truck, I’ve had a few of those), this ain’t a truck!

I could kick myself in the a$$ for not buying a vehical from Anthony! I have watched his videos and his love and care is amazing. I ended up buying a 2010 SRX from a dealer and only owning it for one month now, and its been in the shop 16 days! I should of, could have!! I would have got this Escalade in a heartbeat! Specially at this price! Its what I paid for my SRX.

This is my favorite Escalade ever

I like all the work you put into this Escalade. No need to say you wouldn't have picked those pinstripe colors, let your customers eyes decide what they like. You almost make it sound like GM had to dump those wheels and other trim upgrades - GM was just trying to boost the outgoing body style, to give customers some good reasons not to wait for the new model. The wheel pocket corrosion can easily be taken care of with DupliColor argeant silver wheel paint: just sand and paint the lug pockets only. You could pay a painter to do it professionally, but the DupliColor spray paint is durable.

Anthony great content. I am a stickler just like you are with perfection. Have your Wheel and Tire people put the wheel weights on the inside.The weights damage clear coat and indent the wheels. I noticed that on a 92 Lincoln each wheel you showed had a blemish and quite large. White with blue top blue leather all four wheels blemished in one spot. I had two new tires put on my Corvette down in Florida. I had a place there and I asked them to put the wheel weights on the inside we got out to get in the car they were on the outside I sent it back in and waited another hour and a half to have the wheel weights put on the inside. Probably not happy with me but I didn't really care because I know what damage they will do to a rim. The cars you work with are like a museum piece so it's just fruit for thought it's your call.

Those seats are the best. Big, chunky and adjustable every which way. They are great on a road trip. They are the closest thing to a heated leather Lazy-Boy on wheels.

And the ones that come with the vortec max can tow 11,000 comfortably, 4:10 gear ration , with higher output has 20 more hp and 15 lbs more torque. I’m glad chevy decided to give this option to Cadillac, because in 2003 it was exclusively used on the Silverado SS
