Love the way you can grow them!. I think outdoors, when it raids a lot, moisture retention could be an issue. Can't wait to see the new pitchers! Happy growing in 2024 to everybody!

It's one of the reasons I use coco chips, no matter how much rain they get they don't go soggy like sphagnum based mixes

Yep I've got no space to bring them all inside so they are there all year. Lowest temps around 5°c (41°f) at night

love your attitude and approach to growing where do you get your plants from sir ?

Thanks mate really appreciate it. Alot of my plants are from places like exotica plants and pitcher n moss, but these days I'm doing alot of my own breeding to create new plants so they will become more available on my website

Nice video! Truncata is one of my favourites as well and I would have many if they weren't so hard to find for sale - how much would the small truncata red cost if it was for sale?
@Eat-Me-Exotics5 ай бұрын
I'm working on making a new grex of truncata this season so hopefully they will be easier in a couple of years. I only just got that small one recently, it was about $120 for a much smaller size but my mate sorted me out with a good size one.

@@Eat-Me-Exotics Hmm I got a plant around 15cm across for $40 a couple years ago (that's the one that had the growth tip eaten off and a pest infestation) they seem to have gone up in value

I won an eBay auction for an N. veitchii a few weeks ago and it was packed beautifully by the seller. Unfortunately AusPost “express” failed me and it was in the post for five days - by the time I got it it wasn’t looking too hot. Luckily it’s not terminal or that would be a pretty penny down the drain, but I needed to cut all the pitchers off it because I couldn’t stand looking at it😆

That's annoying but it should bounce back pretty quickly veitchii are very tough plants, n definitely one of my favourites

Hard to wrap my head around these guys being outside 🤣 my St Gaya and Ventrata almost died outside. Sprung back to life in the bathroom west window but much less light so pitchers are rare.

Hahaha yeah I'm very lucky where we live that they can do really well. Ventrata is basicly indestructible
