Sometimes scrap wood can be the project you need to try. This is especially true for those starting out. It can be a way to practice building without the worry of spending too much money. And if you mess up, it was only scrap wood anyway.

Fire wood is also great to work with on the lathe. I’ve made pens, sculptures mallets and bowls out of firewood. What even better is it’s pretty cheap too.

I made that log cabin bird house after seeing you make it. It was fun and there are tenants in it already. I put it on top of a 6' tall pine stump in the yard.

Don't try to guess people's weight, you're way off
