I recently pool tested some lures that target Speckled Trout and now it is time to take them out and see what the Trout think about them In Bayou Bienvenue. My objective on this trip wasn't to fill an ice chest, but to catch some bigger sized Trout on these lures. Two of the lures I have used and caught fish on before, and two I have never used except for the pool test. It's very difficult to get a good read on a lure in one trip because conditions and variables are always changing, but I did catch fish on all four lures. When it comes to fishing, I tend to fall into the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" category, but it's easy to forget that your favorite lure now had to be tried for the first time by you as well.
