Thank you Scott, for the great video and review. I was interested to hear Nick’s take on the bathroom sink. As a retired infection control RN, the thought of using the toilet especially after number 2, then walking out to the galley, and washing contaminated hands in kitchen sink is truly disgusting. Think E. coli all over the cooking and food prep areas. Cross contamination.

Thanks for the great video Scott. Wonderful tour of the latest Beyond. We have owned a 2021 Coachmen Beyond 22D Li3, similar to the one in your video, for about a year now. We absolutely love it. It's nice to see the continuous small improvements that Nick and his team have made. We've had a few problems with the AC and Refrigerator, but they were quickly fixed by our dealer, Sunshine State RV in Gainesville, FL. They are truly the best Class B dealer on the planet. Another great video Scott. I wish Nick would have speculated about delivery time. I’m still waiting for my Beyond 22C…last I heard from them was Oct-Nov.

We were fortunate to find a 2021 Beyond 22C arrive on a lot in April and (having known it was what we wanted), bought it sight unseen. We are still learning all it does and enjoyed great camping this spring/summer. Can’t wait to go out in the fall!

Still prefer the Travato G floor plan.

Prefer the 22C layout, but of course there is a layout for everyone! Really do like Coachmen and the Beyond overall, but am a little confused about what he said about the A/C and AGM batteries. Is the air conditioner not running off the Lithium? It sounded like he was saying the Beyond was using a generator for it. Love the shower water diverter so you know when the water is hot. Watched this from my 2021 Beyond 22c Li3 😉 Had it for a week now and loving it. I'll be honest though, I do wish the lithium battery had a little more oomf to run the ac longer before needing to charge up again...Texas summers are rough...😬

Soft and slightly over sized pop-in panels for the rear windows can be stored right where the table tops are stored. And for all side windows as well. For thermal insulation and privacy while sleeping.

Great looking rig. The best bathroom that I have seen in a class B with the exception (maybe) of the the Travato GL! I do not like the reliance on LP. They do need to fix that. Also, making the bed every night would be cumbersome for a couple. The lift bed option would solve that problem, maintain the back lounge on a permanent basis, and make it the perfect rig for full time RVing! As always, great work Scott!

It's frustrating that the manufacturer websites are NOT current. That's sorta the minimum/least they ALL should/can do. Coachmen Beyond, Embassy RVs, and Winnebago EKKO (to a lesser degree) have photos and descriptions from previous model years. How about showing all of the available options? It already doesn't help potential buyers when we cannot see those rigs in person. Manufacturers could be doing monster business of accessories by displaying their add-on bells and whistles on their websites, so they have us drooling even more during the ongoing backlog.

Class B vans are at most good for a couple. A queen fixed bed in the rear with larger garage space makes much more sense.

The area regarding the next generations of hammocks and modular suspension frames is one which will strongly augment RV living. Especially during the summer. The designs using a mosquito net will be the best ones for sure. And hammocks made with washable nylon materials as well.

Beautiful. I would want to ditch the round sink for a rectangle double sink. Also, it needs a way to keep the water in the shower pan.

Sorry but I hope the new q-foam feels better than it looks. The cover on the seats has many bumps in it and doesn't look as good as some competitors cushions.

The open chassis is at the mercy of wheather. That shows the care in quality control.

Battery-powered bicycles are now the rage for RV owners. Having the van set up for recharging these batteries is a good consideration. Folding recumbent 'tadpole' trikes are an emerging item for seniors who have balance problems and can no longer ride bicycles.

I love the cabinetry. Insulation is great. But, I do not want to have to make up a bed every night, the garage is not so great for me if it is also part of the floor of the living area. This means I would probably leave the bed set up all of the time. Great screen doors. I want tip out windows. We did not see the setup of the living area in front. This is the only place that I think the Travato has an advantage. The bathroom/shower in this is nice. I really want the convection oven though. I do wish there was a larger square sink too. I also like models with a pantry/hanging space. I would probably be one of those people who would prefer the propane stove. I am a chef and I really prefer gas to induction. I also did not see any place in the kitchen to put appliances like a Vita-Mix or more importantly an Instapot. He also did not go over the solar/lithium issue. I really want that. I did not see an outdoor shower feature. I will be traveling with a propane Blackstone griddle and I like models that have a propane outlet under the canopy. I also could be using a grill that runs on gas, or possibly a small charcoal grill. He did mention the possibility of the propane tank bottoming out on BLM or rougher roads. Is this something that can be addressed with a higher suspension, larger tires etc? I would also like to know more about the four seasons possibilities. He did say that the bathroom has antifreeze but did not expand on that. It looks like the elevated storage is mostly taken up by the front table and the four (or three) bed inserts. If there are only 3 using the lagun table, then that means you cannot have the bed made up and not be able to use the table for extra counter space, something.I am very interested in it. I could not really see the table in the front, is it a Lagun table? It looked more like the old-fashioned pole table. If so, that would make it more difficult getting in and out and it would also limit the ability to use the table for more counter space. I also will be filming cooking videos inside and outside of the van. So there are issues of storage space and room to cook on more than one burner sometimes. I really love the quality of Coachmen products, but there are issues that still make me like the TravatoI. Interestingly enough, I am the opposite of what he said his customers are. I am a woman trying to convince my husband to buy a van. It is a huge investment for us.

Radical Design has a video on KZfaq showing how a folding recumbent trike can be disassembled and put into a transport bag. This would work perfectly for putting two in the middle of your 22D floor plan from the rear or from the side while traveling.

Love your educational videos, and keep them rolling. Continue your safe travels on your Route 66 journey. And, congratulations on your new adventures coming in September.

Scott, good review, as usual. Just a few questions: Was the bed section intentionally skipped? How comfortable are the cushions? After all it's an important aspect of an RV... And are the beds wide enough when sleeping in single configuration? Also how long can you realistically use the air conditioning on the batteries? Thank you!

I really like that van, I would have trouble deciding between the models of the Beyond.

The American Coach Patriot has a convection microwave and Coachmen Beyond does not. What is the design difference on the patriot that makes a convection microwave possible?

Would a Van Compass 4" lift kit fit on a 22? I would think so since its a Transit AWD drivetrain.

All these RVs what I see is for two passengers some of them are for four passengers but it's really tight they should make some type of seat for a third passenger behind driver and try to market this type of RV at a low budget people cannot afford $200,000 it's not easy!
