Perspective is so weird! In a good way! My Perspective: this is the EXACT same song! Maybe different generations connect more depending on the "delivery " (Papa Roach vs Falling In Reverse). Although to be fair, even though I may be from the Papa Roach generation, this version definitely hits that "oof" spot. 🤣 I can definitely feel the pain and anger in the original version too though. Even through the "Whatever" facade Gen Z wore. We're healing though 😁

There is a reference to System of a Down when they sing “self righteous suicide, I cryyy, when angels deserve to die” and it’s at the last “cut my life” part. The chords match up perfectly and the angels are crying.

This song marked my adolescence and my musical taste completely. When Papa Roach released this record I was having a hard time at home. Thank you Ronnie for so much art and for once again touching a chord within me. And thank you Ohrion for replicating each song with such sensitivity. Hugs

Ronnie's take on this song has completely changed how I look at this song. I never even realized some of the lyrics and how heavy/emotional it actually is. The Papa Roach version is amazing but its soo up tembo that you don't get the same feelings from the song. Love this version!

100%. Imminence incorporates orchestra and it is a perfect mix. Anytime strings (violin, cello)are in metal is perfect.

This is a continuation of watch the world burn, after he destroys the world with fire Everything is burned so quickly. It's instantly Ash, which is what everything is The first half of this video, everything's gray because it's ash. Then he reverses the entire destruction he caused in watch the world burn.

I just love how different the tone of this cover is. The original always came across as frustrated and angry to me, while this cover feels more hopeless and defeated. The mood is so different. Both versions are great though 💕

Oh this man knew what the hell he was doing releasing something like this the day before his big comeback tour starts while playing tribute to a huge song from our youth, a video exactly like our emo era, suspense like MCR WTBP, all with his unique Ronnie flair!! That man is a genius. It really brought me back to my teen years and the raw pain he displayed the entire song and video. He really is a remarkable musician.

Roney has such a great way of putting his pain into his music and setting it free. It is so fucking beautiful! I feel more healed from my life time of pain just listening to him. I am a woman and I am working on learning to sing this song as a way of work out my trauma. This is fucking awesome!

I love this cover, I never knew what the song was about, it was played so much back in the day that I got tired of hearing it and because of that I'd never listen to it all the way through I'd hear the "cut my life into Pizza" line and immediately turn it off or skip it because I was just so sick of hearing it, but now that FIR did this amazing cover I finally understand why it was so loved, and were I to have given it a chance I probably would've loved it too, because lyrics like this are why I connected to and loved Linkin Park so much and why they were my favorite band and still kind of are they're tied for #1 so what I got from this is I should give Papa Roach a chance instead of discounting them because of one song that was constantly on the Radio

Did anyone notice the ending clip of the fire receding off the world is the reverse of the ending to watch the world burn?? So its like two sides of the coin, one where he destroys everything because of his emotion, and this one he recognizes the emotions and heals the world

Goosebumps...... just.... goosebumps...... And quite a few tears.... 😭 The original song, came out at a godsend moment for me. I was dealing with a relapse (for lack of a better term to use) of a medical issue in my late teens that had my lungs randomly collapsing. Was in a really dark place due to the constant collapses + scars from surgeries..... the Original is what kept me from staying down and clawed my way back out of that pit. THIS is how i felt when i heard the original.. THIS is what i was hearing when i heard that original song... its what gave me the courage to not back down and give up. Yes i was 'head-banging' to the origional (i even do the same to this version, just at a more sedated pace), but the feelings THIS song give.. are what i was dealing with at that moment... 3:27 = that moment when i was at my lowest during those days...... 3:30 + is what this song, in its original form, did for me.

This is an AMAZING release! I also love how the CGI in this music video is way better than recent big budget film releases, including _everything_ Disney put out in the past couple of years. I also think the last shot of this video ties in with the ending of "Set the World on Fire." It looked like the fire from the end of that video reversed itself in this one!
