I know he probably already explained, but I just wanted to explain as well. Sukuna’s domain is comprised of constant slashes of cleave and dismantle, which normally would shred people. Problem is, Sukuna had already hit Mahoraga with a bunch of cleave and dismantles, so by the time Sukuna used his domain, Mahoraga was already adapted to all his slashes, which is why Mahoraga was able to walk straight through his domain. The reason FUGA absolutely destroyed Mahoraga is cause Sukuna hadn’t used it on him yet, so Mahoraga had no adaptation for the fire arrow, so Sukuna was basically able to one-shot it.

Sukuna only hit Mahoraga with dismantle, but Mahoraga adapted to slashing attacks in general not just dismantle so Sukuna had to switch to the fire arrow when he saw his domain wasn’t working.

@@777MangaKing7771bro can you explain more Deeply about mahoraga adapting to slashes in general
@Kal9113 ай бұрын
@@himeshojha2788dismantle and cleave are both part of Sukuna technique, they are two different forms of cutting (in the manga when it’s explained his domain the images of two knives are shown as example). Dismantle is a mainly used as a middle/long distance attack, less powerful but with a lot of range (and Sukuna cursed energy amount makes it deadly already) while Cleave requires contact and it’s basically a certain death attack for almost anyone in one shot, way more powerful than dismantle. Here if Sukuna started the fight with Cleave he would have destroyed mahoraga but after mahoraga was hit by the dismantle it started to adapt to Sukuna cutting technique, the more the wheel spin the less the technique is effective and when the adaptation is completed mahoraga is totally unaffected by it. Using the domain Sukuna managed to still land a damage to mahoraga because the domain increase dramatically the quantity of slashes and their power too, but since mahoraga was almost completely adapted already the damage was low, just enough for Sukuna to charge his fire attack to one shot mahoraga.

@@himeshojha2788 I think in the manga, Sukuna was testing Mahoraga, for reasons. He basically have two slashing techniques, which is dismantle and cleave. He used the other one in the domain on Mahoraga, to see if he can defeat Mahoraga with it. After that we know now that Mahoraga also adapt to the phenomenon, not just to a certain technique. For example, if it was only adapted to a specific technique, then someone with an electricity technique can still harm Mahoraga badly even if Fushiguro's Nue had struck it with lightning. But since Mahoraga adapted to the phenomenon instead, it can adapt to the electricity technique user easier and faster. Narrator doesn't make it clear, but I'm certain he's also testing Mahoraga

It's not just one big extended scene alone, they went through the entire episode and added new animation sequences in-between the ones that they already had in order to make the fight more cohesive and understandable. They also changed/fixed any sequences that were lacking in quality.

Weillen Zhang(famous animator) was the one who storyboarded that cool scene of Sukuna/Mahoraga almost dancing while they fought. He posted his notes for the storyboard and there's some neat stuff in it. Mahoraga created a method for countering Sukuna's slices which was to dismember its own limbs at the same time Sukuna attacks him and use those limbs as projectiles. Sukuna recongized this and starts pump faking Mahoraga, so that it doesn't understand when to counterattack. Sukuna is faking out so much that Mahoraga just goes autopilot and frantically punches the air. Mahoraga's wheel turns and it adapts to Sukuna by also faking him out too. The really cool part is that Sukuna considered this an accomplishment since he made a divine being like Mahoraga learn the art of lying/faking and therefore corrupting it figurtively. He's literally the Jujutsu Devil

Whoa…this is so cool and what a legend for thinking up a fight sequence like that!!
@effortless45883 ай бұрын
He didn't dismember himself but more like swing his arm as he got slashed turning it to a projectile I guess that is the same thing but dismember himself to me sounds like he's ripping his own arms off 😂

In the extended scene, when Mahoraga is shadow-boxing many people got confused why he was doing that in the first place. Sukuna was showering Big Raga with Cleaves and Dismantle so much, that Mahoraga's brain exe started to stop functioning. The Michael Jackson's pose Sukuna doing, many people thought that he was launching continuous attacks on Big Raga...but no. Big Raga was so mentally damaged that he had no idea when the other attack may launch a cleave or a dismantle. So to avoid that he continuously did Shadow-boxing to possibly avoid those attacks in the future.... The Mangala storyboard interview confirmed this

That doesn't make any sense. You don't avoid damage by standing in one place and shadow boxing. It makes more sense to try to predict where the next punch/kick is coming from by putting up a flurry to keep your opponent at range. So, in between attacking, Sukuna does...nothing. He feints. He pauses. He throws off his timing so Mahoraga can't adapt as easily. Basically, an advanced form of rope a dope. Because Mahoraga doesn't stop advancing. Classic amateur fighter move. Moving in a straight line. At no point does Mahoraga actually move backwards like a trained fighter. Sukuna takes advantage of his aggressiveness. The ultimate pace controlling fighter. Like Muhammad Ali in god form. And don't know what storyboard interview you are talking about but I'm sure it's just conjecture from an editor.

Nice!! This version was so much more than the original one that was aired. Mahoraga is seriously no joke. About the wheel turning, this is what the Wiki states: "If it is injured by a particular attack, the eight-handled wheel will turn, allowing it to adapt. If its adversary uses that same technique again, Mahoraga will counter it. This works offensively as well, with Mahoraga adapting its attacks to efficiently break through its opponent's defenses. My man Sukuna had some fun time with it. Mahoraga even tried to deflect his cleave. What I love most is when he does his Domain Expansion.. You truly see the destruction in details (such as in that hand/phone just get cuts to pieces) and then the buildings just turn to ash. Sukuna is a really scary man.

@@brokenamvs9707 This is also wrong, since as it was stated in the episode, cleave would've immediately killed Mahoraga if it had only adapted to dismantle, but it didn't adapt to any specific attack, it adapted to Sukuna's slashes in general, which is why he needed to use his fire technique to actually one shot Mahoraga before it could adapt.

I wouldn't recommend using the wiki to give info with a series as complicated as JJK since it's bound to cause some spoiler issues/balance of how much info has been given so far and how much of it is still yet to be revealed. They'll figure it out when they figure it out.

This version was definitely so jaw dropping! Since they brought out so much for this fight I cannot wait to see what they bring out for the major fights in the future seasons of this series. Chainsaw Man is def a good watch considering the movie continuation was announced a few months back (no release date yet but hopefully soon!). I really love how beautifully Mappa animated that one as well. I have not gotten to see Frieren yet but hopefully soon as I've heard great things haha.
