Hello, I have an HP Omen 16. It is recommended not to install thermal pads since using them with a thickness of exactly 0.5 generated temperature problems and the heatsink was not installed correctly. replace and use only thermal putty. Good luck for all.

shoot what is that other stuff that’s not on the cpu and gpu? it looks like thermal paste i wasn’t ready for that do i have to replace that too
@koolingmonster
@koolingmonster 7 ай бұрын
The stuff that is not on the CPU and GPU is thermal putty. It is a cheap substance that manufacturers use on components that generate less heat to save money. You can only change the thermal paste and not worry about them. If you want to remove the thermal putty, you can use thermal paste to replace them.

The ASUS TUF A15 is almost identical as the ASUS TUF F15 except for the processor brand. You can follow our F15 video and change the thermal paste. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jqigm9F0s7O9pJc.html . If you encounter any problem we will be happy to help!

Hey there, typically, these measures can help prevent screws from stripping: 1.Twist with a rubber band (if not severely stripped). 2.Twist with black electrical tape (if not severely stripped). 3.Use nail clippers/pliers. 1.Best practices to avoid stripping: 2.Choose a high-quality screwdriver (like our KOMBO-01). 3.Ensure the correct screwdriver head. 4.Apply vertical downward pressure when turning the screw. learn more about lossen tight screws: koolingmonster.com/insights/how-to-remove-a-stripped-screw-from-laptop-and-pc-using-only-household-tools

been 1.5 years since i bought my laptop, should i replace the thermal paste or make professional do the job?
@alexandergryn
@alexandergryn 5 ай бұрын
hi. its very easy and 1.5 years is too early to change the paste. Install some software and periodically monitor cpu/gpu temperatures. if one day your laptop overheats - then go for it. My opinion is you need to change the paste once in several years (4+) or when you change a cooler/sink.

I wonder why they use thermal paste on VRAM and chipsets 💀.

It’s thermal putty like he said. Usually you’d have thermal pads
@koolingmonster
@koolingmonster Жыл бұрын
Hello! Thank you for your comment. The substance on VRAM and other chips are actually thermal putty, not thermal paste. If the thermal putty are not dried up or cracked, it is defenitely fine to leave them as is. Thermal putty is used for these chips because they produce less heat than core components like the CPU and GPU. Thermal putty is a cheaper substance that manufactures use to save money. However, if you decide to change thermal putty with thermal paste, it will surely benefit your computer.
@koolingmonster

@@ThisisPartOne Thank you for your reply! Yes it's thermal putty on those chips. Thermal pads are also used a lot by manufactures to save money. You can also replace those with thermal paste without any concerns!

I even have a cooling fan under & it over heat, no chance in hell I ever buy Omen again in my life. Did never like HP & probably never will, since they clearly just sucks. Just like Apple & other horrible companies. Back to AMD - MSI & would say ASUS, but ASUS has lost my trust after horrible designs & stupid ideas. Thank you for the video enough, but this will not make this Omen pc to not overheat - since HP just sucks. CSL & OUT!

Hello! I agree with what you said, but maybe the dust that hasn't been cleaned for a long time could be obstructing the cooling system and causing high temperatures. Regularly cleaning the dust off the heat sink and fan using our product can maintain good cooling efficiency.
