I retrace my statement regarding the namecheap hosting. The Google Page Speed Insights test in the video was done at about 1am (Singapore Time), which has gotten a 99 rating. However, the following day when I've tested the site over 24 hours, it shows that there is always a "Reduce Initial Server Response Time" issue of 1 second or more in most of the test results. There are too many wrong descriptions of what you get on Cloudways. Let's compare it with the NoFrillsCloud offering servers in the Data Centers in London, US West, Singapore, Sydney, and Mumbai. They charge the same monthly fee as Cloudways 2 CPU/ 4GB plan but offer 3 CPU and 6 GB RAM. Hope, future WordPress developer will come from the traditional development processes by your hand. As jump into work without knowing the output can cause problem on the other hand, we traditionally use the tools that have massive facilities and good UI. However, if alternative solution is arrived fully, many of us might shift to that. Thank for you recommendations and analysis.

Can I ask how you dealt with the question of lazy load vs LCP? Or is that handled by the image optimising plugin? Also are there any themes that allow you to choose which images are lazy loaded..... eg. just the ones below the fold?

Sorry for the late response. There are two ways to tackle LCP. 1. Do not lazy load your Largest contentful paint object; 2. Shift your LCP image out of the viewport (above the fold) so that something else will take over as LCP. For #1, you can use plugins like WP Rocket, which I highly recommend: jackcao.com/wprocket You can set which specific image you want to avoid lazy loading.

Thank you Marco! You should start by installing the Kadence Theme and Blocks plugin. And then, install the Kadence Starter template plugin. Hi Jack nice one. First off, where can I get the WP Rocket? I tried searching in my plugin section of my WordPress backend but I couldn't find it. Secondly, I find it pretty baffling that the LCP of my website is a Paragraph. Really? If it was an image of could understand, but a paragraph.

Hi Jack, another amazing video! I had a couple of questions and your expertise will be really helpful! 1. I wanted to know how to load fonts locally. I'm using google fonts and I'm not able to figure out a way to load the fonts locally. You mentioned about it in the video but I guess you never needed to do that since the site was reaching a score of 99 already. But would be great if you could include this in one of your future videos. 2. I am now using - Ezoic Leap (Ezoic's new solution to fix the Core Web Vitals). Ezoic says you don't need any optimize plugins are they are already built in LEAP. Furthermore, having caching and optimize plugins may in fact hinder LEAP's performance. Since, more and more content creators will be using LEAP in the future, can you create a video on how to optimize your page using LEAP (if you are using Ezoic on any of your website). LEAP also has similar functionalities, but just figuring it out is quite difficult for a non-technie like me. Thanks a ton for all your content! You are doing and amazing job and I love watching your informational videos! :-)

1. It recommend using the Kadence Theme as it provides an option to load Google Fonts locally. 2. Will look into LEAP. I am using Ezoic on one of my site and I have yet to get their speed badge. Going to do it now, maybe LEAP will appear after I pass the test. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Great video as always. I do have a question, as most of my issues are around FCP and LCP due to my hero image. What image size would you recommend I am currently using between 1900px and sometimes 1400 and have converted it to webp. Thanks.

It is all about trial and error but an image of about 1,000px in width should be good enough. And, do not use lazy load for above the fold images.

Hello i was following step by step but at the moment i changed the site url google show me an error where the site is compromise and some hackers maybe are attacking my web, i could restablished the website but wordpress is not working properly, i can not donwload any other plugin, what can i do? Great video and it seems I may need to get WPRocket since my site is slow and I use Kadence and Cloudways, I noticed the Reduce the impact of third party code at 2,510ms is my main issue, Other Google APIs / SDKs is at 1,480ms and Cloudflare is 368ms and Google CDN is 258ms, would Google Tag Manager cause it to slow up as well? keep making videos on this, Thanks

Yes, all those you have mentioned will slow down the site as they are all drawing and passing information to and from 3rd party sources. WP Rocket only works with Google Analytics code but not with Google Tags. Do you happen to have recaptcha, or maybe you want to try and determine why your page needs to connect to Google. You may want to try installing a plugin called "Asset Cleanup" to remove css & scripts loading from individual pages. Yes it is unfortunately. Elementor is one of the main causes for slow site speed in my opinion.

This is a tricky one. Whenever there are ads, it will slow down your site, and the only way to optimize this is to delay the javascript loading from third party source, but by doing that, it may reduce your revenue. Are you using Google Adsense? I recommend that, if you want better page speed score, you can check this out: jackcao.com/ezoic Great pagespeed score even with ads using the Ezoic platform instead of Google adsense.

What if we want use Elementor? As you know there are many things we can't do with Gutenberg only.

Then you have to sacrifice page speed on those pages you use Elementor. And most of the time those that you use Elementor are not fighting for rankings on Google, so I think using Elementor is fine for those pages. I recommend to NOT use Elementor on blog articles where you are ranking for keywords. For those blog articles, just use Gutenberg to create the content.

@@darshanpatel1890 For subscription form, try using the Reusable Blocks from Gutenberg to create the Call to action template and then, use the Kadence Blocks form that connects to Mailerlite. That will allow you to avoid Elementor on blog articles. So, there is actually a way out of Elementor.

I doesnt seems that Imagify properly do that work (partly). As I see you have chosen aggressive mode for Imagify, so it means that all group of one image was compressed as my body compressed food until morning. I think wordpress biggest drawback is to throw out an image for the desktop and mobile versions, respectively. For now if you will choose large 1024 px image for desktop the same picture will shown for mobile. Bring me a handkerchief, I'm out of them.

Тормозил сайт и я переехал на well-webnet/ . Взял VPS за 990 руб. Ребята настроили все сами, панель ISP5 дали бесплатно за оплату на год. Я даже не предпологал что мои сайты могут так летать. Техподдержка высший класс, выполняют все капризы если сам не хочешь или не можешь. Перенос делают бесплатно и сами. Подарили SSL сертификат, на все время что сайт будет у них. Пейджспид поднял оценку сразу до 93-х после переноса, сайт стал грузится моментально. Так что хостинг сильно еще влияет на скорость сайта

I once had somebody “optimize” my site. He installed nitropack which gave the site a good Google score, but from a user perspective, I could still tell it was slow. Is Nitropack just fooling SpeedInsights?

Look dude, this is the proper way to troubleshoot page speed scores. I see no reason you feel offended. I have done lots of page speed optimization for clients and these are the steps I use and it helped them. Removing contact form on pages where it doesn't need the codes just makes perfect sense. I also mention that if you need the plugins to operate your business, feel free to ise asset cleanup to remove codes where ever needed. Clearly you haven't completed the video and you make such a comment. If you are a page speed optimization expert, feel free to create a video teaching your method.

@@JackCao Lookagain dude.... Don't be hurry. I saw the whole video twice. That's the reason I sent to you a kind comment. No offense at all! You say about the Asset Cleanup about like 2 seconds and it is a very important thing in the whole video. I understand that it is very technicaly and cleverly "hidden" in order to say that you can optimize a page to 99. I'm sorry, but this way of optimize is unapplicable in real businesses. But ok, it is a way to get the 99 or 100. I give it tou you! Keep it on! These comments are to make you better Tuber! I do not aim to do for my self. Best Wishes!

@@VictorKoumantakis It is not 'technically' or 'cleverly' as you've said. I didn't use asset cleanup because this page do not need recaptcha, and it do not need to use all these unneccessary functions that are loading on the background. Unless this page has an email capture form, it makes sense, and if that would have been the case, I will focus more on it. I thought I have already been very transparent on this video. @@JackCao ok! That's an honorable answer. In addition I have to say (if you want to inlcude it in the video), that Asset Cleanup in some cases make the administration panel very slow. Thank you and as I said... keep it on!
