With just over 1600 miles, and the car having several sets of hands on it for updates etc. It is time to do a full prep on the car. This prep process we started with the clutch, front diff clutch pack, and now a full suspension check and more! I cover all of the things we found and some of my thoughts!

Wow...I appreciate your candor! This video alone has summed up what I've felt from the beginning...."hold on and let time show us". I was never a fan of the business model "gimme your cash and I'll build you a car......someday". I think this car is too "purpose built" for the weekend warrior crowd that would be the main source of revenue for RG. I'll be surprised if Speed is around in 5 years frankly. Looks like a good car, but for the masses, Can Am and Polaris will still have the lions share of consumers. I'm feeling pretty good about my Turbo R. Thanks Nick!

Definitely a disappointment that the stock Speed hiems do not last. I wonder where the wheel bearing grease is going if you are greasing every 500 miles. I thought they were sealed units. Your right them service & maintenance on the Speed is much more and much more difficult then the other UTV brands.

The guy that copied my rear light mount? I’m familiar. His kit doesn’t exist yet, not sure how much actual testing has been done, it’s $1500+, and the bigger problem is why did Speed spec this garbage stock, with no upgrade option?

More than a few people could play the who copied who on parts. His pivot kit just raced Norra and I have a kit about to go on my car! What’s not to like about real FK uniballs? Half the cost of the kit is quality stainless misalignment spacer that doesn’t ever need replacing. If that kit doesn’t work nothing will.

I appreciate ypur detail on the car. Hopefully the QC improves and i feel its only woth knowledgable, honest and fair people like you that this may happen. My opinion is Robbie may take your perspective better than getting defensive (or at least he should). I can tell you want to like the car and dont want to point fingers and flame Robbie, i respect that

Cool lookin car with no body panels. Seems like you’re keeping on top of the maintenance. I hope they allow the aftermarket to make stronger parts. I imagine they had to cut as many corners as they could to sell those pre-sale cars for 30k.

How many engines did you go through in your can am and Polaris and transmissions for that matter ? I’m really rooting for speed because I think healthy competition is good. But my 2018 X3 is pushing 4k miles and hasn’t had half those repairs. I go to sand hollow and Moab and the sand dunes. I run 36s and it just keeps taking a beating.

Ya you need tho check out Hollander parts and accessories. Also you should jack up the rear of the car not the front when filling the hydraulic oil and moving the the steering left and right slowly to get any air bubbles out it should help with the feed back .

What is there to checkout? Are there documented videos of the ln being tested and abused, I’m not spending $1500 on something with minimal testing and no proof… Speed could drop a kit tomorrow, or someone else who can build in bigger quantities for a better price. I spoke with FK about this months ago….

Almost as ridiculous as a putting a $4k deposit on a $40k new model SXS with no testing or proof, Waiting 3 years to see the production go to China, arrives 2 years after that and grenades motor, tranny, and 3 axles in 1600 miles. Only to wrench on it some more for "prep" because of garbage parts. Im still hopeful for Robby and these things get the bugs worked out... But my hope is fading

Some guys ran the entire NORRA on the Hollander fk kits and reported back that they were still tight. That was some 1,400 miles compared to 500 miles from Speed.

@@ChupacabraOffroad I was not expecting this much shade from you, Nick. If Speed released a "Race Series" kit it would probably cost more and we would still have to question it's quality. How much did it cost to replace the stock junk? And you replaced that junk with more junk that you will have to replace again. Just because he didn't put it on KZfaq doesn't mean it hasn't been tested. The couple teams that ran the Hollander kit at NORRA are happy with them while the arrive and drive guys had to have the stock stuff replaced during the race. I am still waiting on my Speed but I already bought the Hollander because I knew I was going to need it and FK just raised their prices. Once I get my Speed I plan on decking it out with Chup products but I have to say I expected better from you and your company.

Does anyone know how to get out of purchasing my spot ? I am not feeling very good about picking this car up and have to worry about taking it 15 hours back to havasu for warranty issues that it seems to have a bunch of . I just want my money back at this point and it is ready to be picked up in the next week or so

Me too. I still don't get mine, but thinking maybe will be cheaper just to let them keep my deposit and refuse to take the car. I don't mind to work on the car, but at least I want reliable car not worry something will break, if I go riding.

I don’t think they can legally keep your deposit. If this car doesn’t get better by the time my number comes up, I’ll be asking for a full refund. And I’m talking about better clutch cooling without the stupid fan ,steering without the stupid EPS, brakes, tunes and nannies losened up. RG talked a big game, he needs to make this right without passing the overpriced band aids to us. How can this be race ready and we’re out here blowing up belts at $250 a pop?! I’m barely hanging on to hope Speed will right this ship.

I have a number 9xx EH (not yet), I haven't heard any good news, I thought they would be durable, tuff, reliable, and be able to rock crawl. I can't do that much tear down, time, money, and maintenance.

The biggest selling feature early on was that this was supposed to be a car that didn’t require upgrades and had top of the line parts. RG spent so much time bashing other brands because you spend 40k on a sxs and then have to upgrade a bunch of stuff. Well look at where he’s at now.

I wouldn’t- mine wore out very quick. Tensors hold up better, much lighter, and cheaper

I think this car will be much better, if Robby don't try to reinvent the wheel. Why just doesn't use electric assist power steering to begin with, work perfect without any feedback to steering wheel . And later offering electric power steering for extra $$ ??? Same for using Heim joint, ball joint are much better for S X S because they are sealed from any element. And need to grease the bearings and CV joint periodically ??? WTF This car is really not for regular people who just want to ride without tear down the car every 500-1000 miles.🙄

I think what Todd was trying to say is it's the customers fault for not keeping the jamb nut tight and the heims failed because they were not tight.

Possibly- I blew a belt in San Felipe last week but I haven’t had issues for a while… I heard the fan comes with a cheap switch and it appears to be more of a bandaid

If they are blowing belts with the cover off, how is a cover with a fan going to solve the problem? It’s not because there’s still a problem. Air flow is one, but clutch alignment is another big one, and I’m hearing the primary sliders are an issue and should be rollers? TAPP has a replacement roller spider that drops right in the primary to fix the sticking and worn sliders. The CVT air ports are not sized properly and located in the right places to allow air to properly flow. A new inner & outer CVT cover is needed, to fix the air flow. Speed could easily design and replace the CVT covers if they wanted to make this right.

I always hated the idea of a slipper clutch. He shouldve just done a rubber coupling on a yoke.

As the gentleman said above, there is a complete replacement kit that was designed by Brandon Hollander that would have solved your problems without wasting your money on the same cheap stock component.

Spend $1500+ on something with minimal testing and hope it “solves my problem”… nah I’ll wait for other options, or at least see if this kit is good in 2000 miles.

Now we know why people are selling there cars , more expensive upkeep than other brands was supposed cheaper, especially when parts are available only thru speed utv !! Glad I never got one !!!

I would like to warn your viewers don't buy speed utv this thing is a total piece of shit falling apart 130 miles on it 9 weeks waiting for parts no call or tx for 8 weeks this company is horrible I don't believe they will be in business very long with these things workmanship is horrible skid plate bolts don't line up stripped holes it's horrible I'm on east coast and they're hardly doing anything they are the worst company I've ever delt with beware buyer's
