This use to be my favorite game. I remember when this game first came out. I went and brought a TV set for my apartment and then went to Toys R Us and got a Super Nintendo. I did not know much about video games at the time and saw the Zelda A Link to the past box and thought the game would be cool to play so I got it. I plugged in my Super Nintendo and slid in the cartridge and became instantly hooked to the game. It will always be my favorite game due to the unforgettable music, puzzles and action. I've viewed and reviewed this youtube video multiple times and never grow tired of seeing it again and again.

This game was a big part of my childhood this Mystical Quest & Donkey Kong Super Nintendo was & still better than any Ps3 & Ps4 in my opinion screw the so called better graphics to me the best it got was Ps1 and sup Nintendo graphics is greatly undermined people don't truly appreciate the graphics and the journey of games like Zelda it is & was a legend & will forever be the best to me btw thanks for uploading this.

Great skills WAK, especially the use of intentionally getting hurt by an enemy/bomb or using the bounce caused by hitting a wall to bounce yourself over an obstacle as a shortcut. Very clever!

The main thing I got from this was that my assumption that the Caterpillar was the hardest boss in the game was correct all those years ago.

I never did understand why you couldn't call your bird in the dark world but at the end of agnahim's castle he is called. What a cop out. It's like lord of the rings calling in those Eagles.

Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana took it for me. This is a great game though - there is no denying that.

Wow. That trick in Turtle Rock, in the room where you have to light the lamps on th moving platform, always pisses me off. That trick with the hookshot is pure genius.

Coincidentally, I watched this spped run mainly to see if the Ice Palace can be beaten without hookshot. I read about that 1:00:15 trick and now I could see it in action, confirming that it can be beaten without hookshot.

I beat the first dungeon before the rain stopped using the walk under floor glitch. Now whenever I try to get to the castle, I'm stopped by two guards and my character spazzes out. What do I do?

No, I'm not. I am thinking about the SNES game, A Link to the Past, whereas you can glitch through the wall after saving zelda from the ball and chain boss after save & quit while jumping off a ledge with Zelda following you. You can then freely move throughout the castle through the walls, and if you go right, then up past the throne room, you enter the triforce room where the credit's roll. It's pretty crazy, actually. I screwed around and found the flame rod room and the Moth boss.

I didn't watch this fully, but is this a glitch free run? I know of a glitch you can literally skip to the triforce at the beginning of the game while Zelda is following.

i see that wak didnt save quit at all... couldve saved some travel distance from the mountain to master sword and desert to house would save about 15secs off total time

my fastest time with 100% completion was 2 hours, 42 minutes. wish i was able to record it tho....

It is a beautiful run, but question: Why is it considered a pure run when so many items were overlooked, like the Pieces of Heart and the dungeon treasures? No criticism or disrespect intended, just honestly curious.

I can't tell if you're implying I'm incompetent or you simply don't believe me. This trick is actually not difficult to do, buit ONCE I performed the glitch before leaving the bed...I WISH I knew how, it only happened once. The community must experiment! Unless this is old news.
