I think that Tac is wrong. That doesn't sound like 11k rpm. Sounds more like 9k, still high. Listen to the sound when it reaches the 7k rpm redline, it sounds like most cars do at 5k.

the tac is right it went way past 9k lol. My buddy had a high comp build 4age ae86 and it revved upwards to 10.5-11k estimate cause it went way past the limit on the gauge

You can here it on that one flyby clip hes well over 10k rpm. Takes a lot of rpm for a 4 cyl to scream like that. only takes a six cyl 8000 rpm to sound like a four doing 12k rpm, so the tach is right on. I wonder how long that motor will last.

It's not hard to shift without a clutch. You just need to have a LOT of practice. You have the rpms just right to go into the next gear without ripping up your syncros.

You normally can just lift off the gas a little bit to upshift with a dog box. Additionally, you can still flat shift without using the clutch by using the rev limiter.

Only cars i don't like very much are muscle cars. Have full respect for them and their history, but they are just not for me. :)

It's a dogbox. Clutch to engage, at low speed and to downshift (you have to double declutch) but when you go for it, you can just shift without using the clutch. You can do that with a normal gearbox, but if you get it wrong you'll blow the gearbox very quickly, you have to be at the right rpm and do it with the exact right rythm.

+Inaccurate Hardstyle its called speed shifting you can do it in any manual car. when the rpm is at the right spot your gears open up and you can shift without clutch. if you don't know how to do it don't lol unless you have a spare tranny, cause it willtear your stuff up even if you know what your doing

+Inaccurate Hardstyle This car has a dog box transmission. Dog box transmissions have straight cut teeth and with the help of the speed shifter (sensor on gear stick) the gear change happens without using the clutch.The speed shifter cuts off the spark ignition of the engine for ms, so the gear change happens without the clutch. Same principal works on bikes because all bikes have dog boxes. If you are experienced you can time the change by cutting of the throttle. If you are not you can fit a speed shifter which helps not damaging the transmission of the bike.

Rest in peace Mitsubishi Evolution. If they really just stop producting the model which has always been the reason for Mitsubishi being such interesting and good brand all over the world. I swear its the end of Mitsubishi car company. Can't believe they planning to just focus on eco-hybrid-green stuff and forget why the brand is as strong as it is. It's like removing the toilet seat from your toilet. Such a shame for the company as they clearly have no idea what this all means and leads into. Luckily the other japanese car companies like Toyota and Honda saved their brands by understanding the fact. Toyota really needed the GT-86 to prove they still care about their customers. I'm not saying Toyota wouldn't sell good anyway, but there has to be right product for each type of customers to keep the brand strong and looks like Akio Toyoda did understand that. And the is more to come as the legendary Supra will get its follower. So if this is the end of Lancer Evolution, i really hope there is some plans to bring back sport cars. I apologize for my bad english, but hopefully you could get my point.

Absolutely brilliant car, exterior and interior, above and underneath, a real masterpiece of aerodynamics and engineering, designed and build to create intense emotions to it's driver. I don't care so much about horsepower, as far i am concerned it could be totally stock, still is a beautiful car made mostly of lightweight aluminium, with a ride height that allows you to go on both asphalt and gravel road with the same ease, while having excellent handling at all times thanks to a combination of suspensions and sharper steering wheel almost by half of other cars.

It's a racing transmission which allows you to be able to shift without needing the clutch.

AJ VanGorden This set up specifically is anything but stock but there are plenty of software solutions that allow you to keep the gas buried while stabbing the clutch and shifting. I use it on my DSM link through the check of a box called NLTS (No lift to shift)
