Anyone knows why the final boss raises his hand in victory at the end?

One year late, when it's not necessary anymore. This game is based on hokuto no ken manga and it's basically a western reskin. The final boss was probably Raoh in the japanese version. The raised arm was the character's iconic pose, because he had no regrets and refused to fall to the ground after being defeated.
