Yeah he did it on the easiest conditions. Not only that, but it isn't shame in itself to take 30 hours on a game. I literally take my time to finish games that I could end earlier, for RP or realism's sake. I let my enemy off with a few cities after an easy win war just so they can remain as a culture, a UN vote and make one more country at the later stages of the game. I take much more turns to make an immense, unstoppable force and try to make the fastest, most effective war possible, instead of going in earlier and duke it out on more equal terms. I prolong useless peaces for RP reasons. I avoid nukes for RP reasons. I also prolong games to widen the technology gap when I get ahead, and try to create as much distance between myself and my rivals so that my final attack is as quick and effective as possible. I also get a feeling of closure bringing history to when it is right now, and finish things in modern times. etc. Anyone else?

One thing that I learned today playing civ V. If you found a city on a luxury resource tile. That tile will still give you the improvements and the luxury resource won't be erased. So you can get the stuff before researching calendar.

If I understood, I think that there was only one other civ, which was the Huns, who I guess don't prioritize culture that much. Since this guy was Pedro, he rushed cultural great people, using one to get a great work for tourism and another for Pedro's tourism-doubling golden age. It's really cheesy, but I guess that's how you get these kind of speedrun victories.

That's how you beat strategy games quickly and effectively. If it were max difficulty there'd be way more random chance involved.

I tried doing this on Deity cause thats what I normally play on but was nowhere near getting a culture victory. I ended up nuking his capital and bombarding them with bombers and paratroopers

One of those victories is the cultural victory in which you have to have your tourism output become higher than the cultural output of every other civilization. Of course, this is suppose to happen near the end of the game (after 10-15 hours) but this boi managed it in 3 minutes...

Yep, j'ai passé pas mal de temps sur le speedrun de ce jeu. Après c'est pas spécialement durs, c'est juste une autre façon d'aborder le jeu. On s'arrange pour que chaque tour soit utile en ayant le moins d'actions possible à réaliser. ça donne quelque chose d'assez absurde par rapport à une partie classique, mais ça permet de bien comprendre le fonctionnement du jeu ;)
